Eg. equal house system says saturn has just entered my 4th house squaring my asc and pluto
Placidus says saturn is still in my 3rd squaring my asc and pluto. It will hit my ic, my oldest's south node and my youngest's asc at 6deg aqua in jan.
I am supposed to moving house this coming month
Pls dnt quote

Hi vgI'm thinking... The 3rd house is the house of cars and short-distance travel (as opposed to world travel, 9th house). So, transiting Saturn in the 3rd fits for a move, because moving is generally considered difficult (packing and loading everything in the vehicles, unloading). Transiting Saturn on the IC suggests being more situated and settled. Makes sense to me for Saturn to be in the 3rd for the move, and then the 4th for completed relocation. Just my guess.

Thank you Ava, yeah it makes sense i guess as im moving out of the house into another one. I guess the 4th would represent the goings on in that house. On another note related to what you mentioned, do you think or notice transits are more prominent or we maybe notice the effects of that transit more towards the transit at the end of the house rather than the start?

Hi vg , That's an interesting question and I'm sorry I haven't paid enough attention to have an educated guess for a response. This isn't something I've been monitoring in my own life. I think there might be more noticeable effects when the transiting planet a) makes aspects to natal planets or other transiting planets, and b) is close to the IC, applying or separating. When Saturn was in my 3H, conjunct Pluto, I began studying astrology (difficult for me as it was "taboo," considering who I was at that time in my life. Also I was out of practice with formal studying and learning the new language was kind of daunting). When it was near the IC, I started posting at LL, also a real breakthrough moment as I had just lurked for months and thought I'd never get there. This presented a challenge in my home life as my husband asked when I was going to give up astrology and in a rare bold moment, I said "NEVER." lol So we got that particular home-hardship over with around the time Saturn was on my IC, and I guess it made the atmosphere a little tense for the duration of the 4H transit. (Astrology wasn't the only thing I was branching out with, maybe because Saturn rules my sun, this was a time of being more myself at home.) Pls don't quote

When I first got into astrology, Placidus was pretty much the accepted standard. I heard about Koch, but from what I could tell, Koch was better suited for timing than for natal, which was my primary interest at the time.
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Chris Brennan, so I've been exposed more to Whole Sign.
I still consider Placidus as the main story, but I'll add in some consideration for additional effects of whole sign as if it can add some modifiers or additional clarification to the main interpretation.
Like they say, YMMV
