Lenormand is said to offer one of the widest range of spreads out of all methods of cartomancy with 2, 3, 5 or 7 card spreads being the simplest. These are called string spreads with cards laid out from left to right in one line. They are read in a linear way with each card being a single word or expression in a sentence or as telling a brief story. This page lists other basic techniques used: labyrinthos.co/blogs/learn-tarot-with-labyrinthos-academy/how-to-read-five-card-and-seven-card-lenormand-spreadsvg, I find your readings very interesting. Would you care to share your method?

Hey @astrokeen - i dont really have a method i just pull 5 cards then clarify each one with another card. I read from left to right(eg mountain-snake is not the same as snake-mountain). I use the imagery in the cards for my readings as well. Any cards that fall out while shuffling are important giving hints to the overall theme though they are not part of the spread.
Pls dnt quote

vg, I use the simplest ones, the string method, reading 3 or 5 as a sentence. Sometimes to clarify the meaning I pay attention to the meaning of the central card as being overarching and use mirroring as well. I would like to start experimenting with a 9 card block layout, perhaps use it in advance of events such as a special day and see how the interpretations turn out.
