Serious question. I lost a deck of tarot cards somewhere in my house and they fitted perfectly in my hands. I don't have tiny hands lol yet this deck I lost was a "mini" deck. I have another deck of cards i don't normally use as i find them hard to shuffle.
Why do they make tarot decks so big? If they were the size of normal playing cards that would be fine too.

To get all the imagery on I suppose so that people can look closely at the symbols etc. There's quite a lot in one card- the high priestess is a good example. I had a very mini mini tarot deck once which was designed to be attached like a keyring to your keys (it was that small!!!). Still got it but can't use it anymore as I just couldn't read them holistically.
I agree they don't need to be any bigger than the conventional ones though, that would be kind of ridiculous.

Good point FruityLlama ! though I still think they should make them hand friendly lol and maybe put the detailed imagery in a book or something. I just wonder if they can be accurate if the shuffling isnt smooth. I guess its more that i need to get used to them. I lost my deck along with my leno cards somewhere in my house But that tarot deck i lost was getting old so maybe it was a sign to change. Miss my leno deck
