houses 1-6 would have the same meaning as in natal, just that it is describing the couple interaction. It depends a lot on how you would define these houses yourself, as I have seen astrologers give different meanings.
But for example the 3rd house would be about the communication between the couple, 9th house, how they express their view towards others, while others are around.
8th house is an interesting one, it usually would be about shared ressources, bonding experiences with others (though 8th house can signal the actual marriage of a person or divorce as well).
In a composite I do feel it still has a lot to say about the intimacy of a couple with each other. But then again maybe our expectations of what to find colours what we then really perceive in a horoscope.
also there is the old thing about composites being midpoint charts, and there are always two midpoints, though I do tend to treat the composite as if an individual chart, maybe there is a difference between the near and far midpoint other than jsut being nearer or farther. I think I once read something that made sense to me, but have forgotten where and what. lol
I know about the likening of signs and houses. I used to do it myself, but I don`t think this is right anymore. There might be some common ground but it is not interchangeable. a sign colours how a planet expresses (in scorpio: deep), the house colours what area a planet expresses in (8th house: shared ressources, sexual intimacy, commitment or the breaking of, which is why this is also the house of divorce, though it probably depends on which author you read. lol). We sometimes equate the 8th house - sexual intimacy - with the idea of depth as Scorpio. But that is not always the case. You can have sex with somebody and not being especially deep about it.
So yes, traditionally there is some common ground (I guess most people would agree that their idea of sexual intimacy is one of a deep merging), but it`s not always like that in the real life manifestation, so I`d say, yes some similiarities maybe, but it is not exactly the same.
Well the Tristan and Isolde story is possibly a bit more complicated than that, but yes, there is a chapter in it where they were practically living in bliss with each other in some cave and nature, but the minute the chance arose to be reunited with the king and living at court they were misleading the king pretending to NOT have had a sexual relationship with each other, so he would forgive them and let them be at court again. And while they tried to maintain their relationship in secret, it eventually got uncovered and they had to part ways for real, with Tristan leaving court and Isolde stayin married to the king.
Thing is, at least for me, they could have stayed in their little haven or cave, they could have stayed together, but they would have to do it without being part of social life and of course without validation from the court or society. But they could have been together jsut for themselves, but it seems that this wasn`t enough. Of course that is my interpretation. I think this episode was written to show that they couldnĀ“t have both, they had to make a choice and sacrifice something. Either their relationship to each other or their social relationships.
