'Loved this video, the man's presentation is lucid and concise:
Around 7:30 he mentions that true tantra is not about sex; that's a Western deviation from tradition.
I am curious about how that deviation occurred and what it's about, but for now, just trying to learn about spiritual tantra.

Ava, thanks for this. Very clear and precise as an intro to tantra. There is an aspect of tantra which is common in Hinduism which he doesn't refer to: many tantriks or trantra practitioners aspire to gain control over the physical world through highly ritualistic practices involving yoga, mantras and deities. Tantriks are known to have powers and often set up shop to assist people with their problems. In contrast, Tantra in Buddhism is more spiritual.

For instance, people would go to these tantriks if they (suspected they) were being haunted by spirits. On TV shows, at least, they had the answers. Perhaps people went to them for more mundane problems in real life. But I liked to think they had the power to ward off evil spirits, if there is such a thing.
We could draw parallels between them and Catholic priests who perform exorcisms. And maybe tantriks are priests too, after a fashion.

Mostly G-rated
Just some rough notes, she's more articulate and thorough than this:
- Humanity is becoming denser over time (Lemurians, Atlanteans were less dense) - Consciousness is ever-evolving. What was true for the ancients isn't necessarily true for us, because of planetary alignments, planetary consciousness. Movable vresus immovable truth. - "Our bodies couldn't be worshipful places, except we felt the pleasure of God in ourselves." - Lower chakras become resting place for deep trauma; we emit energy from this area, can manifest negativity - @ 20:30 Spiritual versus physical, kundalini rising - Constant sexuality/porn depleting kundalini force - Self-love and kindness clearing channels - We're coming back to the fall of Atlantis in a large time cycle; after the fall, it's time to rise...we have to do this individually, so how we each develop this particular energy is important.

Ava, I don't agree with the statement that all of humanity is becoming denser over time. There is a huge chunk who seem to have the kinds of spiritual experiences which used to be attained after many years of meditation and strict yogic practices. The number of people who report having kundalini activations, for example, (also referred to as spiritual emergencies) is rising. Perhaps there are people on each side of the spectrum, and some are far removed from good.

@astrokeen, The woman in that video is extremely far-out, and whether she's accurate or not, I have no way of knowing. I thought she was implying the Lemurians were more like ghosts or astral beings hanging around the earth...and the Atlanteans were a bit more substantial, but still not solid like us? I meant to research that, but I don't care too much. For me, it's more like mental exercise just to try and follow her strange speeches.
