These planets are exactly sextile today: Jupiter @ 20° Scorpio, Mars @ 20° Capricorn. Today's horoscopes: Cafeastrology: "The Mars-Jupiter sextile discussed yesterday perfects early today. Positive attitudes create winning situations now." Rick Levine: "An early morning Mars-Jupiter sextile increases our enthusiasm for an existing project. Although we won’t necessarily start anything new, we’re eager to explore our options." And this cute little article: www.astrology.com/article/mars-sextile-jupiter-new-inspiration.htmlI've never gotten a tight handle on how Mars-Jupiter aspects function, neither in the natal nor synastry. Do you have either (natal or synastry) in your life? Any thoughts, observations?

I have an exact sextile, Aries Jupiter to Gem Mars. Mars disposits Jupiter. I'd like to say that gives me good fortune when I'm arguing with people, but more often, there's a tendency to overtalk. Fortunately other planets in my chart try to cool the burners, but you should hear my kids making fun of me, for my seemingly everlasting lectures (and here I thought I was being brief!) --- Edit: Cutting and pasting synastry interpretations from this site: www.livevisionz.com/synastry-aspect-by-mars.html

I love Mars-Jupiter! Well, I have a wide square in my natal from Mars at 5 Sag to Jupiter at 11 Pisces. I think it is definitely at work in my chart, because a) Mars is angular b) Jupiter is the chartruler c) ASC on 7 Sag, Neptune and NN on 10 Sag are building a bridge, and at 6 degrees is it not that wide anyway. Interestingly Jupiter disposits Mars for me - btw Ava in your case it is the other way round, Mars disposits Jupiter, as Jupiter is in Aries which is ruled or disposited by Mars. So for both of us there is already an underlying Mars-Jupiter-resonance (Mars in Sag, Jupiter in Aries - of course for the two of us that means that we have a mutual reception of Mars-Jupiter). P has Mars conjunct Jupiter at 1 degree orb, in Virgo, and Mercury, the dispositor is in Sag squaring his Mars-Jupiter. Well as for Mercury-involvement that is something the two of you have to discuss as you seem to share it. well for him it is even stronger as there is this mutual reception of Mercury-Jupiter in his chart. But anyway Mars-Jupiter: it`s enthusiasm in its purest and rawest form, boundless energy for whatever your Mars needs it. Jupiter seriously makes everything bigger and blows it up whatever it touches. For P that might be the simplest most natural and purest expression as he has the conjunction - his Mars in Virgo REALLY gets a boost by this, it among other things shows in his enthusiasm for starting new diets or trying out new forms of nutrition (which usually lasts about 3 minutes or so. lol curiously it seems, like for me, Weight Watchers works for him very well too, possibly because it is a very non-rigid and flexible form of diet, or at least we bend it that way. LOL ) For you the natal connection seems to be the smoothest, maybe more subtle, but in a sextile these planets support each other, I think your Jupiter will enhance your enthusiasm and activity in terms of communicating or other Gemini things. with Jupiter there might also be that philosophical bent to it. For me, well I have the square, albeit widely, I think in a square it is a bit like the unbalanced version, either vERY enthusiastic or the energy somehow being shot into too many directions at once, so it fizzles out. But on its own, the enthusiasm is there, and sometimes maybe blown out of proportions (of course this also has to do with Neptune-Pisces, in my case, which knows no boundaries anyway) But somehow those aspects are always about the next bigger mountains to climb, about things to achieve, of course great things, larger than life etc. Not in the slow gradual structured SAturnian way, but by the sheer amount of enthusiasm, drive and a downright physical energy (though since for us it is on the Gemini-SAg-axis, and for P in Virgo - that physical energy is infused with something more intellectual, mental, communicative, philosophical). Synastry: Well while P and me have the Mars-Jupiter-natally, we also have an interesting synastry with Mars (and Venus) and Jupiter, in a broader sense at least, allowing larger orbs and minor aspects; it is at least interesting to see the theme indicated here. so his Jupiter on 10 Virgo widely squares my Mars at 5 Sag and trines my Venus at 6 Cap. while my Jupiter on 11 Pisces opposes his Mars at 11 Virgo exact, and semisquares his Venus at almost 26 Cap exact. well of course the most obvious connection is my Jupiter to his Mars, which is the basic line, for our T-square arrow to his Mercury on my Neptune-NN-ASC in Sag; just our two squares with Jupiter interlocking a little there. Whatever that means, but I think it is nice that his Mars gets aspected by my chart, and in particular my chartruler. (Aries is intercepted in his 1st house, so basically our 1st house rulers are exactly opposite each other - his in Virgo, mine in Pisces; which probably summarizes our different approaches quite well). And by whatever that means I mean well, just remembering Jupiter encourages and enhances whatever it touches, a boost of "Yes"-energy. Jupiter in strong dynamic synastric aspect is like that guy/ girl that sais: "Yes! Great idea! let`s do it! Erm is there some more where that came from?" and in that way Jupiter is a motivator or personal cheerleader. Unless the Jupiters are really in conflict than they might cheer for different teams, coiuld happen with a square of course, but with a Jupiter square to something in Sagittarius, chances are great that it will just be an increase of Jupiter-energy, as Jupiter disposits anything in Sagittarius. Though Jupiter in Virgo might wish for a more down-to-earth realistic physical approach than anything in Sag could ever deliver. But we have the mutual reception there his Jupiter in Virgo - my Mercury in Sag; my Jupiter in Pisces - his Neptune in Sagittarius (it is traditional of course, but hey they are both rulers of our respective ASC-signs, gotta count for something. lol) Unfortunately most of those synastry interpretations you can look up online are just bla-bla-stupid, I think. Man operates through his Ego, woman operates through her higher mind, what does that even MEAN? In the very least Mars-Jupiter is fun and energetic, though they can exhaust each other a bit, and things can easily get carried too far, just think of an Aries and Sagittarius kid playing together in the sand, and thinking of all kind of new adventures and all is lively and fun, until they stumble across a mini disagreement, and suddenly someone`s going to get a shovel over their heads and another one`s probably going to get their eyes full of sand, and then there will be crying, or rather loud lamenting (cause why the drama if noone hears? ) and a "You`re no friend of mine anymore. I am going to hate you for all eternity" and at least one storming off in a huff. And probably half an hour later the eternity ended, and most probably both forgot whey they even had been getting into that clash, and working on a new project of building a sand-castle or tower that will of course be higher than the Eiffel tower. Well Mars-Jupiter in dynamic aspect does feel like a children-aspect to me. If I look at my little nephew it is what I see, the enthusiasm, the total immersion into something that seems interesting - for the moment - the loud lamenting and crying real fat tears if being prevented from going somewhere or doing something he really wants, and then within moments this is forgotten again, when some new project is calling him. like playing with the Russian doll and then hiding pieces of it in the living room to tease his grandmother. Mars-Jupiter can be really exhausting for the environment actually, which is not as quick or is more serious and less about play and big dreams/projections into the future. But for the people themselves when they are in a good (non-lamenting and shovel-swinging) phase, it is really fun. Or like those screwball comedies! You know, the ones Spencer Tracey and Katherine Hepburn were in? There is quite a bit of Mars-Jupiter (along with Mercury and Venus and possibly Uranus ? of course) in there! BTW I did not know that before, but natally Hepburn had a Mars-Uranus-conjunction opposing Jupiter. lol and her Venus was in Aries, I think squaring at least the Mars-Uranus Tracy was an Aries, with Sun trining Jupiter-Uranus-conjunction in Sagittarius Mars conjunct Mercury in Pisces was not aspecting Jupiter though they did not have Mars-Jupiter-synastry as it seems but I think her Jupiter to Uranus-Mars was making a T-square with his Sun in Aries. I think it fits. and I did not know that before mentioning them. lol

I have a suuuuuper wide trine (at 10° I think I can scarcely count it). However, if I *could* count it, I would say that it lends towards a long term athleticism. Physical exercise is never a waning phase for me, it's a constant - it can't *not* be in my life.
On the Jupiter side of the coin, I come into financial windfalls.. more often than the average person I would think.
I think Mars-Jupiter also makes someone a natural "teacher's pet" except the native doesn't even have to try, professors/teachers just naturally gravitate towards them. I would also say leadership abilities are present in the native as well.

Physical exercise is never a waning phase for me, it's a constant - it can't *not* be in my life. That is great! I just came back here cause I forgot to mention something in my post above and that is actually that Mars-Jupiter NEEDS to have to have a physical outlet for all that energy. (though I am lazy, I often avoid doing it, but if I do it, I can literally feel the endorphines getting unleashed. lol) This is even true in terms of relationships/ synastry. Two people with strong Mars-Jupiter need to have a physical outlet for the energy as well, being active together, having something to do, but not just in an intellectual way, especially for Mars the physical aspect is really important. Jupiter probably not so much, though it depens on the Jupiter, but they would even increase the urge to do something physically in Mars (just because Jupiter expands anything. lol). I think that physical aspect might be in particular important for Mars in earth signs and possibly fire signs, especially Aries. Air signs and Water signs I am not totally sure as they are living more in a world of the mind and emotions sometimes. But even those need to DO something with the energy. If this energy is left unchecked and not channelled, it might direct itself against the people in question and the shovel might be back in use. I guess it is a weird coincidence, but in those few real life relationships I know of I noticed some Mars-Jupiter- Maybe it is just because I am in tune to Mars Jupiter, I don`t know, but my parents have it, as my Mom`s Jupiter on 6 Aries opposes my Dad`s Mars on 9 Libra (and his Jupiter on 12 Aquarius and Venus on 14 Aquarius quinkunx her Mars on 13 Virgo) he is pretty much all the time asking her to give him something to do. lol Also they are always having the most fun going on trips together (cultural trips - which is so Libra-Mars. lol),b ut also taking a lot of walks with each other, running together (though not so much more lately), going somewhere by bike etc. Oh and they are great dancers. I don´t know, not that they have a special talent, they just look naturally good together. lol And if they haven`t been active in one of these ways (or another way I as a daughter flat out refuse to even take into theoretical consideration. It was even tmi when my mom told me she was having to have a pregnancy test in her mid 50`s. lol) , the bickering gets a bit much. They can be like 12 year old in this regard, I swear! Though it has some comical show value. my best friend and her husband have it too, albeit widely his Jupiter at 15 Aries (on her Moon exactly and their first born`s Sun) opposes her Venus-Mars-Pluto at 11 Libra Well usually it is her making the decisions about how to get active; they also fell in love with each other (well her with him, he already was) when he was joining her dancing group and they were rehearsing the duet they were going to dance to the song "Poison" by Alice Cooper, and then that somehow became rehearsing something else. Erm *clears throat* she is a lady though, and did not tell even me too many details. And only after some time. But well I saw them dance together and just KNEW. Noone can play that much chemistry! Of course she until today flat out denies she has ever been "in love" with him, just loving him, but she just won`t admit it, it`s okay, everyone needs their escapes. lol Well her Venus-Mars-Pluto is in her 5th house, so I guess that makes sense. Oh and for the record they are expecting their 5th child in june, so I guess that is definitely part of the activity. Though I think it also helps keeping their homelife afloat and get all the stuff done they need to get done, and with 5 children that means they have to have a lot of energy (though their Saturn helps a lot with the organisational stuff of course). my brother and his wife have it, too. his Mars at 7 Aries (what is it with the ARies-placements? I mean, seriously? ) squares her Jupiter at 10 Capricorn (on her MC) (his Mars also conjuncts her Mercury on 5 ARies - and their son has DESC there. lol) Well P and his wife have it, too his Jupiter at 10 Virgo (and Mars at 11 Virgo) trine her Mars at 10 Taurus (on his Chiron at 9 Taurus) and quinkunx her Jupiter at 10 Aqua They actually have a very puzzling synastry, in that there are not many connections and not the ones you`d expect, but I think THAT one here is probably the major pull (along with their impressive 5th harmonic synastry), and probably the area that they will very easily agree on with each other and that will work out just fine (though the involvement of Chiron is interesting here, but it is trining his Mars-Jupiter, the quinkunx is possibly a little lopsided, but anyway, still pretty nice - and of course it means that she also has a Mars-Jupiter-square natally, very exact too). BTW the girlfriend P had before (longterm) has a wide 6 degree dissociate square between Mars and Jupiter as well. Actually her Mars is just 2 degree off mine, but to the other side, so the square to P`s Mars-Jupiter was even wider (6-7 degrees). Her SAturn on 8 SAgittarius was rather closely squaring his Mars-Jupiter though.

mars Jupiter - conjunction, trine, section are good at taking aim. In this sense it’s similar to sag or Pisces where they can intuitively evaluate a situation, take calculated risk and hit the nail on the head most days
The square and opposition and especially inconjunction can lead to being over confident or really insecure because the native tend to put too much faith in certain things without building a good foundation first. In my personal experiences many of these folks tend to plunge in something very quickly and enthusiastically but drop out quicker than an Aries trying to finish your sentence. There’s just a lack of sense of timing ... obviously with more challenging aspects, you can learn to overcome with time and find the right balance and the most rewarding one would be the inconjunction .
In synastry and composite, Jupiter hard aspects indicate a lack of similarities in values, ethics and life trajectory. Jupiter is growth and in composite it means two people tend to get into ones another way.

Not necessarily agreeing with everything she sais, but she brings up some good points.
However, while I hear it often being said that Jupiter in challenging aspects is about different and incompatible values or philosophy in life, I haven`t really found that to be true. There has to be more pointing to that, more variables of comparision like for example the 9th house pattern. Actually I have met some people who had their Jupiter in square or opposition to mine (never met anyone with the quinkunx though) with whom I share exceptionally similiar and compatible values (my youngest brother being one example, as his Jupiter squares my Jupiter with only one degree orb; actually this is probably the thing we are talking the most about, and discussing, social concepts, values, what we value in life and why; there are some differences of course, but interestingly they enhance and build upon each other, as we have a very similiar basis to start from, and in some respects we are the exceptions in our family in terms of our ideas about certain things. As for P and me, I am actually sometimes amazed just HOW similiar our political and social views are, and in particular I am amazed at how he will point out those little details that annoy him about certain things in a cultural or social context, and even though I rarely mention it, it often is something that annoys me as well. But then again we share even certain ticks with the same reasoning behind. Sometimes listening to him is like hearing my own thoughts. lol Of course I am very sure that we would have our differences, but they are not based on values in life apparently. I think we would probably disagree about more mundane stuff though. Pretty sure about that. lol Because I am incompatible with basically everyone on earth when it comes to the mundane stuff, like daily chores and such. lol)

Well I haven’t watched that video. It has been my experiences in my personal life that composite Jupiter with challenging aspects to Pluto especially is where my growth and the other’s go opposite direction. I’m not talking about religion or politics or even arts. In fact I can hang out with these individuals on separate instances but our overall lives do not align. What we are looking to build our lives upon aren’t the same. What we’re looking for in terms of personal growth is widely different. I don’t just want someone who agree with me on politics or arts, I want someone who seek out similar opportunities to expand themselves as I do or their seeking their own growth is complimentary to mine.
The ppl I’m interested in romantically in many cases do not share my viewpoints but rather my principles

It`s all connected to personal growth however. You can`t separate the direction you grow into from your values.

will keep an eye on Jupiter-Pluto in challenging aspect in composite though. I don`t think I have ever experienced or observed it myself. P and me have the trine, my brother and his wife the sextile; the other couples did not have any aspect, except if we allow 3 degrees for a quinkunx between Jupiter and Pluto, then my best friend and her husband have the quinkunx, but personally I find 3 degrees too wide. Besides they obviously have a shared vision about their lives.

Anyway -- ditto about the exercise, and windfalls. Some teachers really hated me, some loved me, at least one "converted" from enemy to fan. My 10th grade writing teacher hated me so much other students would come up to me and ask, "What did you DO to make her dislike you so much?" I shrugged. She would get mad at me just for being a serious person, come up to me in the hallways demanding that I smile and stop taking life so seriously. Just another reason everyone should learn basic astrology. Don't expect a Capricorn to walk down the school hallway, smiling and waving at everyone.

I guess it is a weird coincidence, but in those few real life relationships I know of I noticed some Mars-Jupiter- Maybe it is just because I am in tune to Mars Jupiter, I don`t know, Same here. I wonder if I see more of this because I have it natally. My parents had the sextile (her Cap Mars to his Pisces Jupiter) and then an opposition by sign (her Aries Jupiter to his Libra Mars.) With my kids, many of their Marses and Jupiters are aspecting mine (mid-degree). My husband has the semi-sextile; other kids' Mars/Jupiter placements aspect his. College ex had the natal Mars/Jup opposition in Virgo/Pisces, so my Mars t-squared that. I'll never cease to be amazed with my outrageous longevity in that relationship. All things considered. They actually have a very puzzling synastry, in that there are not many connections and not the ones you`d expect, but I think THAT one here is probably the major pull (along with their impressive 5th harmonic synastry), and probably the area that they will very easily agree on with each other and that will work out just fine (though the involvement of Chiron is interesting here, but it is trining his Mars-Jupiter, the quinkunx is possibly a little lopsided, but anyway, still pretty nice - and of course it means that she also has a Mars-Jupiter-square natally, very exact too). So I guess this can work for a major binding aspect, but we'll see, they haven't been married that long. Just sayin. I do wonder how other couples with Mars square Mars fare in daily life. I guess that's for another thread. Well Jupiter rules my Venus so, with my own tastes, Jupiter is a paramount synastry planet. I like good strong contacts. Life is short so why not have them?

I was just thinking of Mars-Jupiter synastry the other day - would you believe it!
Natal: Man, this must be good to have. My Mars-Saturn is a bit of a stick-in-the-mud. Jupiter gives Mars confidence to go out there and 'give it a shot'. Also, Jupiter & Saturn are semi-generational planets. So, you can see the difference in these aspects by how people respond to them (coz they'll have it in synastry with a whole bunch of people). For instance, when a Mars-Saturn hard aspect person 'expresses' their Mars - they get a Saturn smack-down. When Mars-Jupiter people express their Mars - for instance, anger - people are, for the most part, supportive - in the sense that they side with them, espouse their cause. So, they may have good luck in such Martian endeavours.
Synastry: Aah, I love this one, in any role. As Mars: As I was saying, my Mars-Saturn is pretty used to clamping down & shutting up. And then along comes somebody's Jupiter, not only accepting of but also encouraging the Martian side. They are almost amused by my temper and join in the chorus too. Jupiter is very appreciative of anything Mars does. Like when the teacher gives you a gold star on your homework for spelling "dinosaur" right. It's lovely to feel so supported, frees you up - Jupiter has that effect. So, naturally, I'm very comfortable around these people. As Jupiter: Also great! I find that, just as the books say - the Mars person feels like taking bigger risks, doing something new and fun, coz of moi. Off the top of my head, my Jupiter squares somebody's Mars (which is already in Sag) - and, we're a hoot. Downside, of course - the hard aspects might egg each other on a little too much. Aaaand, I dunno if you've noticed, but Mars tends to see Jupiter's general good-humour & jokes as flirting, coz they 'trigger' their Mars by being like that.
Anyway, Mars-Jupiter synastry is SUPER cool. Partners in crime.

Ava mentioning of the semisextile just made me think of something. How`s your Mars/Jupiter-mp doing? I mean what is it doing? After all it has been considered by Ebertin and others as midpoint of "Engagement, birth" along with some other really positive interpretations. Mine is on 23°12 Capricorn. Ava and 12YearsABlob I loved your Posts btw, will respond to them in a few hours though.

Yes, so insightful there, 12YearsABlob . Thank you. "When Mars-Jupiter people express their Mars - for instance, anger - people are, for the most part, supportive - in the sense that they side with them, espouse their cause. So, they may have good luck in such Martian endeavours." I have had a grandiose feeling with my anger that is kind of ridiculous. edit "I dunno if you've noticed, but Mars tends to see Jupiter's general good-humour & jokes as flirting, coz they 'trigger' their Mars by being like that." Wow -- yes, I think so! Great observation. lumina , you asked about my Mars/Jupiter midpoint, it's 16° Taurus, on my progressed SN @ 15° Taurus. Exactly on my husband's SN. Please no one quote, I'm feeling chatty but will probably regret saying this.

Actually come to think of it, I wonder if Mars-Jupiter is prominent in the charts of religious leaders. People who want to be able to call upon a Higher Power to help carry out their will, smite their enemies, and so on. Magnified willpower. Sun Myung Moon: Leo Jupiter-Neptune square Scorpio Mars www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Sun_Myung_MoonMarshall Applewhite (Heaven's Gate): Cancer Jupiter-Pluto semisextile Leo Mars www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Marshall_ApplewhiteWarren Jeffs: Scorpio Mars (conjunct Neptune) sextile Virgo Jupiter (conjunct Pluto) www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Warren_JeffsThese were the first three that came to mind, now let me look at more normal/humble religious leaders..... Billy Graham, no aspect: www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Billy_GrahamMother Teresa, semisextile: www.astrotheme.com/astrology/M%C3%A8re_TeresaDalai Lama, no aspect: www.astrotheme.com/astrology/14th_Dalai_LamaPope Francis, no aspect: www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Pope_FrancisRick Warren, no aspect: www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Rick_WarrenWow, isn't this funny? I'm started to be a little embarrassed that I have Mars/Jupiter. Avadancing is of course just ONE possibility of physical activity, well I could think of another one, too. lol But being on the track team definitely fits the bill. You also wrote that you don´t like Jupiter-squares. Well I have never experienced them to be any sort of problem, except those to Saturn (too much of a clash of one person wanting to expand all the time and go where the fun is, and the other being on the restrictive side and needing something more strucutred. Jupiter dreams big, SAturn dreams realistically, if we can even call it dreams.) and to Pluto (major powerstruggles especially in terms of views in life might ensue - which is why I actually can see how the Jupiter-Pluto might pose a major problem in a composite as @theunknown brought up). The other squares of Jupiter? To Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars - are just fun and exhilarating. Even in a square with those people usually can feel greater and in a better lighter inspired mood than in most trines with Saturn - which has other good sides of course that Jupiter lacks). The only problem I have ever observed with Jupiter-squares is that the reality sometimes cannot keep up with the hopes and expectations, and that the dreams might get too big and unrealistic (I suspect Jupiter-Neptune-squares esp. if connected to personal planets might be extremely prone to that), and somehow feel like losing ground, because you are just flying high like a balloon, and the enthusiasm might get really unbalance, everything blown out of proportion (in terms of Mars, even the angry periods). Jupiter-Uranus might be actually overly exciting and could make a person really crazy, but hey, at least you are going to have fun while going crazy. The energy might be exhausting and depleting the nervous system however, and lead to periods of extreme mental exhaustion and also feelings of numbness and stillness, because the batteries need to be recharged, and Jupiter-Uranus is never really calming down on its own, so something in the psychological make up just forces these people too, and they will not like being that restricted! BTW in religious leaders, I would actually expect a Jupiter-Pluto aspect more often than a Mars-Jupiter, though both could be there. Mars-Jupiter might trump Jupiter-Pluto in terms of being really zealous, if their aim is at something religious, which it does not have to be. It can be a crusader for anything really. "College ex had the natal Mars/Jup opposition in Virgo/Pisces, so my Mars t-squared that. " Delicious! I am not kidding, I really think that! It might not provide (emotional) depth or lastingness, but it`s fun, unless you do not like competitiveness and a rather rough playfulness. I heard some people dislike that, which I cannot even begin to grasp, as that kind of banter is like real aphrodisiac to me. I think I might even prefer Mars-Jupiter to Venus-Jupiter, though Venus-Jupiter can be endlessly great and nice as well. "So I guess this can work for a major binding aspect," No, I don`t think so. I mean I don`t want to say anything against their longevity, but from an astrological point of view I do not think Mars-Jupiter is about bonding or longevity at all, not as a general statement. Something different must add to that. But it is indicative of being on the same plate when it comes to how to do certain activities, hence Mars-Mars makes a great team, in business as well as in a relationship. They can cooperate. And sexually it should be a smooth sailing, too. Being very much in synch. though as a trine it is not the overwhelming passionate animal attraction, yet it is one of the easier things to accomplish I think. And Mars-Jupiter adding a lot of goodwill of course, and fun. Interestingly her Mars is in Virgo Decanate and Duad - in his Mars-sign, so it seems that she is especially in synch or attracted to him, (it seems that the Duad-owner is the one most receptive to the other person`s sign). Well his Mars is in Capricorn Decanate and Duad, so it is not quite reciprocal, though of course this is in a trine relationship to her Mars in Taurus, so, that area is definitely workable or more than workable, it`s quite harmonious for the two of them. And being all in earth signs of course grounded in the physical and sensual. most of the pictures of them together show them eating or drinking btw. lol Interestingly my Venus is in Capricorn Decanate and Pisces Duad; esp. the Duad-position being actually in opposition to his Virgo Mars (my Duad Venus is at 13 Pisces, his Virgo Mars at 11 Virgo). My Venus is also widely trine his Mars, which as I mentioned falls into Capricorn Duad, the sign of my Venus, well his Duad Mars is at 13 Capricorn, so a bit wide for my natal Venus at 6 Cap, however his Duad Jupiter is at 1 Cap, and the midpoint is at 7 Cap, so falling pretty close to my Venus. oh and his Duad ASC is at 7 Capricorn as well. Of course just subtle influences, but I found it interesting that she provides Mars to his Mars and I Venus, though of course their aspect is much stronger as it is partile. On the other hand adding to the widish 5 degree trine between his Mars and my Venus, there does also exist a partile sextile between the two of them in Duads. Well just one corner of the configuration in Duad chart. Actually Duad charts are something very interesting, too. Btu not the topic on hand I guess. lol "I do wonder how other couples with Mars square Mars fare in daily life. I guess that's for another thread. " I think it was too wide to really matter. I mean I even consider our Mars-Mars-square on the wide side, and it is closer than theirs have been. (ours is just under 6 degrees - I am not totally excluding the possibility it is in play, esp. with the other planets involved and having tighter orbs, however at that orb our Mars-positiions would not be triggered at the same time. It`s more like first I go mad, then after a little while he gets mad, but not at the same time, and by the time he has his melt down, I probably have calmed down again, I mean if we think of Sun-transits for example there would be a timedifference of 6 days between my Mars being triggered and then his, which I think is different to having it triggered at the same day or the previours or following one). Esp. for mutable Marses, we blow up, and then after a day or two we do not even remember WHAT it was that made us so upset or if we do we do not quite understand WHY this should have been a reason to get angry. At least I cannot! Well he said that himself as well, once, that he sometimes would like to be able to keep up the feeling of anger, as it gives some sort of assertiveness and energy, but he cannot. He blows up, and he is really angry (he gave an example of another car driver, oh and from childhood with his brothers. lol) but he cannot stay in that state of anger for long, and by the time he could really react forcefully, it is already gone and his emotions have moved on to the next thing. "ll Jupiter rules my Venus so, with my own tastes, Jupiter is a paramount synastry planet. I like good strong contacts. Life is short so why not have them? " Exactly.

Yes, that all rings true for me. My Mars/Jupiter sextile (26 Capricorn and 25 Pisces) are being widely affected by the Mars/Jupiter transit, but pretty sure Uranus is responsible for completely frying my nerves right now.
