Hey guys curious to know what you think of this chart, looks like a karmic link/connection and maybe partners for life? Which parts would stand out for you in this chart? Anything in this chart would signify a long term bond? Thank you in advance! Attaching Whole Sign houses and Placidus Attachments:

Intercepted signs + signs appearing on more than one house cusp always "stand out for me" in a chart ... and my formula for interpreting those in the posted placidus composite chart is :-
"An issue (involving the Sun) in the 2nd+8th houses is adversely affecting the 3rd+9th houses, in a way that (until resolved) will prevent the best/most-effective use being made of the qualities of Libra, Aries and Saturn."
My guess is the issue is karmic (because Sun is square both Nodes), and indicates that both/each of these two people can use this relationship to complete a "missed step" from a past life - which will enable them to also make more effective use of their composite Sun-in-Sagittarius/8th.
[The long-term bond is "promised" by the close-orbed Sun-Moon trine, and the Grand Trine this forms with Saturn.]

t5 wow thank you, this is interesting. these two people haven't met but connected online and already can tell there's a chemistry between them despite not meeting in real life. I can imagine packed 8th house (and 7th in Placidus) will be intense but also beautiful if they do meet at some point in their lives. They live on the opposite sides of the world and she's got a big following on social media and is more in the spotlight than he is, that's how he found her, would this be talking of affected 3rd and 9th as a barrier? Would you say this bond looks like it would be a smooth sailing overall and is fated?

adreena Yes. The 2nd/8th house issue could be about values - and the 3rd/9th house long-distance social-media-only contact provides a mechanism for either (or both) of them to be unaware of any undesirable/unacceptable values held by the other. Moreover, a cold-and-controlling Saturn in intercepted Aries (the sign of impulsiveness/open-actions) might indeed use such a mechanism to hide it's true nature. That is "promised" by the Sun-Moon-Saturn Grand Trine. ... BUT great-deceiver Neptune is the highest/most-visible planet in this chart, and it is closely conjunct Uranus (the Awakener/Disruptor) - so one person (or both) could be swimming rapidly underwater, despite no ripples appearing on the surface of this pool/relationship.

Thank you t5 this is really insightful. Wonder if they will strike a deeper conversation soon and if they will meet at some point in life. Chart feels like its a destined connection but not all such connections will crystallise in real life I suppose. What are your thoughts on squares and oppositions to ASC in their composite? Moon, Neptune, Uranus and opposition to Chiron (some with larger orb) + there's a trine to Mars so that might be helpful? Looks to me like a lot of illusion perhaps, especially as its viewed via an Instagram lens, so things are hidden from view or get lost in translation? I need to learn more about intercepted signs, that's new to me. Also 29 degree Neptune, that must feel really captivating I reckon!

Also Moon is opposing Uranus but at 7 degree orb, would that be felt despite the larger orb?

Also Moon is opposing Uranus but at 7 degree orb, would that be felt despite the larger orb? This will be felt ... but it is a good example of an issue that can go undetected in long-distance relationships. In both of the posted charts, freedom-loving Uranus is in it's own sign; comfortable in the 10th house and afflicted only by this opposition to Moon ... whereas the security-seeking Moon is at-home in the 4th (whole-house), but uncomfortable in Leo and 5th (placidus). So, one partner (or both) may require more freedom than the other is comfortable with allowing them to have - but THAT is not likely to become apparent in a long-distance/on-screen-only relationship (because both are able to "come-and-go" as they please). There are many ways in which this aspect could actually manifest, but an extreme example would be if one (emotionally insecure) partner agreed to the (freedom-loving) other's request for an open-relationship because the former was afraid of losing the latter if he/she objected. This is best learned by "doing"/reading charts. ... Each pair of intercepted signs (say A and B) MUST produce a pair of signs that appear on the cusps of two houses (say 1+2 and 7+8). ... And these INVARIABLY indicate that "an issue in houses 1 and 7 is adversely affecting houses 2 and 8, in a way that (until resolved) will prevent the most effective use of the qualities of sign A and sign B". Moreover, any planets located in houses 1 and 7 will be involved in the issue ... and any planets located in sign A and sign B will also be prevented from being used most effectively until the issue is resolved. [To identify the issue, you then need to explore the events created by progressions or/and transits to these natal chart indicators.] I see squares and oppositions as opportunities for the two people to acquire feedback from each other, about what can be done to make the relationship stronger. However, if the feedback is not heard/acted-upon by one partner (or both), the relationship will (eventually) suffer rather than thrive. Planets at the last/Anaretic degree of a sign indicate a "last chance saloon" opportunity to learn something (which has not yet been learned) about that sign - BEFORE moving on to learning about the next sign. I think of them as being akin to a doorway between two adjoining rooms - with the chart owner about to leave room one and enter room two, but unaware that he/she has left a lighted cigarette still burning in room 1.

Thanks t5. How did you learn astrology? Added their Progressed Placidus looks like there are quite a few oppositions there. Would you say for composites - Placidus is more accurate? I'm trying to learn astrology using Whole House system but sometimes I find that when it comes to discussing emotional connections, Placidus resonates (though not always). I'm also curious about 8th house, I've seen some charts where both 5th and 8th are 'empty' in composites yet couple have a very strong bond and are in a long lasting relationship. I find reading composites hard because it can play out in so many different ways depending on where individuals are in their life in terms of needs etc. + there's also synastry and individual charts with progressions so everything has to be taken into consideration and even then, it's not a 'guarantee' for anything. But then sometimes it plays out exactly like the charts say, it can be confusing to decode. Is there a way of seeing from transits over the composite or progressed composite when could these two meet potentially or connect on a deeper level? So far they only exchanged very little over the internet as he's the one 'following' her account so its more of an engagement from his end, since he's 'profile' is private and her following is much bigger than his which seems like a temporary barrier for more communication flow. I like the Mars conjunct NN, seems like they are both heading the same direction and would push each other to grow and reach their individual destined paths + both have NN in Virgo

adreena I do not use Whole House (or any system with houses of equal size), because it does not produce intercepted houses - and, (if these exist) I consider them to be invaluable astrological indicators when attempting to synthesise a chart. ... However, for analysing and interpreting the individual astrological indicators in a chart, my experience is that "all systems lead to Rome" - but each takes a different path/uses different astrological indicators to get there. So, provided that the WHOLE chart is delinated it does not matter which house system is used - as the end result/report will be the same. Empty houses indicate only that the two souls are not actively working together on these areas/activities in their current incarnation/relationship ... perhaps because neither have any "loyalty/commitment/stand-by-the-partner" issues to resolve this time around. For example, if both partners genuinely wanted an open relationship, the fact that each might have several partners would not prevent the two of them from having a strong bond and a long lasting relationship. Perhaps - because the Sun-Moon-Saturn Grand Trine forms a KITE configuration with the Vertex. So, what is "promised" by the Grand Trine is also fated in the Kite. ... Thus, progressions or/and transits to the Vertex MIGHT manifest as a meeting of the two people. This composite Mars rules (and is sextile) the composite Chiron in Scorpio/7th, so is able to divert the "wound" for it's own Virgo/5th house purposes. Scorpio Chiron CAN inflict a wound/feeling of "me/us against the world", which Mars might use to teach the Virgo NN lesson of "the real enemy resides within". Astrology can only be learned by "doing" charts. ... But some 10 years of studying-and-practicing analysis-and-interpretation was required before it finally dawned on me that chart synthesis can be taught only by "the still, small, voice within".

Thank you t5Wow, I didn't realise it forms a kite with Vertex. Will see if I can try and find a transit to their vertex in the composite and to their solar returns or natals. Intercepted houses are interesting. Will dig in deeper for sure. Thank you for mentioning these. Looks like their composite Sun in the 8th is almost 'trapped' in between the houses. This will probably make it much harder for them to meet in 3D world. This below is a separate post on a different topic (Algol) but I’m also studying this chart of a long distance relationship with a huge stellium in the 12th (they also met online during the pandemic in 2020 and been in a close contact and could say in ‘a relationship’ up until recently but have not met despite possibilities opening up in the world) astrogarden.proboards.com/thread/2846/algol-composite-chartsIf I'm correct, there are no interceptions here. What would you say shows up as an obstacle in their composite chart? Thank you again for your invaluable input, this teaches me a lot !

adreenaThat is correct. Pluto ... In it's own sign, comfortable in 10th house, highest/most-visible planet, square Nodes (karmic indicator of a "missed step") and sextile Saturn (the planet that rules all others in the chart, except Pluto). ... So, perhaps Saturn indicates excessive control - and Pluto is saying "that must change/be transformed, or this relationship will die".

t5 You described it so well with Saturn and Pluto. It makes sense now. I'm guessing there's no easy way to define which composite chart has more chance to 'survive' obstacles and create more long term bond but out of the two (one with that huge stellium in 12th/square to nodes/Pluto and one with intercepted 2nd/8th/smaller stellium in 8th squaring nodes to Sun)which one would stand out to you more in terms of 'longevity'. I understand one would have to look at Progressed + individual charts to get a better picture of course. Relationship astrology is the hardest for me to read but also the most exciting to learn

adreenaAs you know already, this is really determined by the extent to which each of the two people "work on the lessons" of the astrological indicators in the chart. However, assuming all involved are working equally hard upon the lessons of these two charts, I suspect the Uranus-Moon opposition (in the chart with interceptions) will be the biggest threat to relationship longevity. ... But, if Saturn IS over-controlling (in the other relationship), that will probably be a more difficult problem to overcome - thus becoming an increasing threat to the relationship if not resolved. (Hence, the astrologer can only point out the potential threats to relationships - and suggest the way(s) in which they might be managed.)

Thanks t5, progressions (I found these particularly helpful to gauge where individuals are in their life's journey, timing is everything) are good to look at for sure and probably also synastry charts for both of these relationships too/transits and solar returns for the year. Are there any good books on composites you'd recommend or courses online? Was thinking maybe of Acyuta-Bhava Astrology courses but so far self-learning

"Planets in Composite" by Robert Hand is a cookbook of delineations for all the aspects between composite Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and the Nodes - and explains the composite technique + how to cast and read composite charts.
With regard to formal study courses though, I'd continue to allow your intuition to be your guide for now - and only consider paying for tuition after you have decided exactly which branch(es) of astrology you want to learn/practice. ... Otherwise, you will just become someone who replicates the techniques of a "recognised" authority/astrologer/astrology-school (rather than an open-minded practitioner of astrology, guided by the "still, small, voice within").

adreenaIf you have $180 to spend ... you might want to consider purchasing one of the Matrix "Relationship/Composite Report" software programs at www.astrologysoftware.com/pro/win_writer/togetherness.html#0 ... [I'd opt for the 2-for-1 offer of "Togetherness" and "Time Together".] These reports show the astrological indicators used to produce the text/analysis/interpretation ... and much can be learned from mindfully reflecting upon the author's interpretations of the astrological indicators for Composite Charts calculated by the software user. [See the example pdf reports provided by Matrix in the link.]

t5 it won't let me enter the website says certificate is expired or something like that so might need to try another time I can access it with the (Apple) Safari browser; (Google) Chrome browser and (Microsoft) Edge browser ... so check if your browser's security settings are treating the website as "risky" because it's Microsoft Certificate has not been renewed by the site owner.

t5 hmm still not letting me for some reason, shows error but thank you for pointing me to it, will try and figure that out somehow Wanted to ask you about your thoughts on composite Neptune in this chart - in Whole signs composite its in the 9th and progressed in the 8th at 29th degree but then Placidus (as attached in original post) its in the 10th and 9th How would Neptune placement play out in that anaretic degree in the 10th 9th and 8th in Capricorn? They both have Neptune at anaretic degree in their natal charts of course. It's an interesting placement for me because it looks intense but also its in Capricorn I feel like in general Neptune placement at anaretic degree makes you perceive that person who has that placement as maybe more magical and more magnetic that they actually are in real life. Even if you do meet them in real life you would still sort of perceive them through those rose coloured glasses right? Since that's the nature of dreamy Neptune.
