For some reason, I thought we already had a thread for this... Source: alexasteroidastrology.com/urania/Characteristics: - love of science and mathematics
- exploring the reasons behind events
- music theory is one of her talents
- conceptualize and comprehend abstract and symbolic knowledge
- ability to extrapolate principles and relevant data from a mass of facts
- foretelling the future by the arrangement of the stars
- finding deep meaning in each experience
- associated with “universal love”
Where is your "Urania"? What does it bring to your thinking? How does it show in synastry for you?

Breaking this up, because it was getting too long: Synastry: Source: www.zanestein.com/urania.htmI dunno, that seems oddly specific...
I feel like some of the things on that list (above) can be said about mercury signs & aspects themselves (such as the way we deal with abstract knowledge). Maybe I'll stick to the ones that I wouldn't normally associate with *just* mercury.

interesting. never thought about Urania in synastric terms, just associated it with astrology mostly.
my Urania is on 22°47 Aquarius (conjunct TALENT on 22°58 Aquarius and PSYCHE on 24°02 Aqua)
Hmm it`s conjunct the Italian person`s of interest Sun and squares P`s Uranus (and conjuncts his own PSYCHE-PALLAS conjunction at 24-25 Aqua).

Thank you kindly for the article 12YearsABlob. I have Urania exactly conjunct Saturn @ 0° Leo. My sun's in mutual reception with 12H Saturn, and my secret study of astrology is just a part of me that most people don't see. Saturn opposes Mercury and I've had hardship where it comes to simply acquiring and keeping astrology materials.

I am just going to give my Urania ecliptic longitude position and its aspects within 1 degree
Urania in 0'03 Gemini R trine Freud in 0'01 Libra - psychology trine Hermia in 0'30 Libra - messenger trine Child in 0'39 Libra - children trine Pluto in 0'51 Libra - Transformation, Evolutionary Intensification trine Hokule'a in 0'53 Libra - Arcturus trine Perseverantia in 0'52 Aquarius - perseverance square Hammonia in 0'13 Sagittarius - Hamburg sextile Bertha in 0'14 Aries - bright one sextile Sita in 0'18 Leo - is noble in womanhood
quincunx Hamburga in 0'24 Capricorn - Hamburg quincunx Kassandra in 0'40 Capricorn - prophecy that may not be believed quincunx Justitia in 0'57 Capricorn - justice semisextile Bohemia in 0'29 Cancer - Bohemian
I think Urania in aspect to Hamburg and Hammonia is Hamburg School Astrology aka Uranian Astrology which is a symmetrical Astrology that entails heavy use of midpoints.

interesting. never thought about Urania in synastric terms, just associated it with astrology mostly. my Urania is on 22°47 Aquarius (conjunct TALENT on 22°58 Aquarius and PSYCHE on 24°02 Aqua) All three are sitting right next to my moon-Asc at 22-23° Aqua. Live synastry studies: how do you feel about me? Lol.
I do like the planets that aspect mine 'in particular', as the link says. But then again, it's part of the whole Mercury-Mars-Venus-Jupiter soup in my chart, so it could be because of that. Virgo Venus latches on to specifics, and anything around those degrees in Scorpio will probably be on my Merc-Mars, possibly sextile Venus-Jupiter. And no, I don't like it when they deviate from their Scorpio-ness, but who would?
It is, however, about the abstract in some way - seeing beyond the facts. Can't vouch for myself, but if you ask them I believe they'd agree I see things in them beyond superficial facts and observations. However, that could be said about anyone you have a connection with or anyone you know reasonably well. So, where does that leave us?
Sorry to go around in circles, but there's some Libra equivocation for you...
I love how you say Italian "person of interest". Ha! Need us on some stake-outs? Does the conjunction being in Aqua bring the focus to his Aquarian qualities?

Forgot to add that I have my natal Drakonia tightly conjunct Urania, less than one degree orb. So fitting, because I love draconic astrology. Furthermore tropical Drakonia @ 29 Cancer is conjunct my draconic moon @ 28 Cancer. Urania-Drakonia trine Klotho-Vesta @ 0 Aries, grand trining current Drakonia @ 29 Scorpio, Rx. Urania @ 22 Taurus tomorrow, sextile transiting Mercury @ 22 Pisces and tr NN @ 22 Cancer. Urania = Mercury/NN midpoint

12YearsABlob "Live synastry studies: how do you feel about me? Lol. " I like reading your replies and communicating. Usually you have something interesting to say. "However, that could be said about anyone you have a connection with or anyone you know reasonably well. " Yes, that is true. "Does the conjunction being in Aqua bring the focus to his Aquarian qualities?" I think so yes. but then again my Draco Uranus is exactly conjunct his tropical Sun as well. It`s interesting as his Sun is in a partile square to his Pluto (my pr MC is almost on the same degree as his Pluto at the current time, my my pr Moon/Mars-mp falls onto his Pluto and my pr Sun/Venus onto his Sun - so there is that. lol It`s not really all that personal of course, but nice). Oh and what I find kinda... intriguing. my Venus is at the midpoint of his Sun-Pluto-square (and semisquare to both), and my Venus is ALSO at the far midpoint of his Mars-Jupiter-sextile, quinkunx both exactly, which of course makes it the apex of a Yod. Just noticing the emphasis of Venus there (actually the composite NN-Ceres conjunction falls onto my Venus, too, and his Juno is within 3 degrees of it - we do have a DW of Venus-Juno-conjunction - but of course that is all just theory)

Forgot to mention that I have Urania on my mercury, sextile Jupiter. Fitting that I started this thread (mercury ='talking', Jupiter = to a wide audience).

Haha, thanks Lionessmind , that's very generous of you! Not sure if I can teach, but I do love learning about astrology. You also appear to really enjoy it and seem connected to it, from what I see. I don't know any asteroids related to astrologers though. Perhaps there might be some on the thread that has lists by theme. Will post here if I find any..

Considering what Robert Hand said about parans being linked to diurnal rhythms, I decided to check out parans by looking at the Z-Analogue Diurnal Arc Charts of the Rising,Setting,Culminating,Anticulminating times (with True Altitude) of Sun,Moon,Mercury,Venus,Mars. I use 1 degree orb for asteroid parans. Moon Setting, Urania Culminating Square Paran - '04
