A favorite medical documentary:
^ Conceived twins form one person at a very early stage of development, giving rise to a person who is actually a set.
Nobody knows how common or rare this is, but with the increase in genetic testing, we may come to the realization that it's much more common than we ever imagined.
In one story featured above, it was concluded that this mother actually give birth to her sister's children, so she was more like a biological aunt. (Most of her body was her own DNA, but it appears her ovaries contain her twin's DNA.)
The question has been raised about paternity tests: are they failsafe, or could the same situation apply with men?
It's also been proposed that this may underlie gender dysphoria, if the person's brain is male and their body is female (result of mixed gender fraternal twins bonding into one person.)
Who knows, really?
