I've talked about this before, I just can't remember where, within this forum.
Question is, is your tropical or draconic sun conjunct the tropical or draconic sun of a parent, or child? Or both?
===
This is a constant trend within my own family, so I wonder if it's happening with other families.
Details to follow...

25 Taurus, my draconic sun 29 Taurus, my son's tropical sun (28 Scorpio, my daughter's tropical sun, niece's tropical sun)
1 Leo, my father's mother's draconic sun 3 Leo, my father's draconic sun
7 Leo, husband's sun 12 Leo, our firstborn's draconic sun
22 Cap, my mother's father's draconic sun 22 Cap, my mother's draconic sun (19 Cap, my husband's mother's draconic sun) 15 Cap, my tropical sun
27 Sag, husband's father's draconic sun 27 Sag, my father's father's draconic sun 22 Sag, husband's draconic sun 17 Sag, our firstborn's tropical sun
- My oldest brother's draconic sun is tightly conjunct our mother's sun, square my draconic sun.
- My husband's brother has his tropical sun conjunct his father's, but there is no draconic sun link. - My Cancer sun's tropical sun is conjunct one grandmother's sun (opposing both grandmothers' draconic suns). Oddly, his sun is exactly conjunct my niece's, so they both have tropical sun opposing my mother's draconic sun. My sister's tropical sun in Cancer also opposes my mother's draconic sun.
---
I wonder, is this just my own strange family pattern, or have you all seen it in your families, too?

More grandparents with grandchildren...
14 Libra, my mother's mother's draconic sun 16 Aries, my brother sun (tropical and draconic)
9 Gemini, my father's mother's tropical sun 10 Gemini, my sister's draconic sun
I still can't figure out why three of my children have Virgo draconic suns, though. There are no tropical Virgos anywhere in my family.

neither my tropical nor Draco Sun is conjunct my parent`s tropical nor Draco Sun (my tropical Sun falls onto their Draco composite Sun though; in their Draco synastry my Mom`s Draco Sun is on 25 Scorpio and my Dad`s on 25 Cap, and my tropical Sun on 25 Sag)
my youngest brother`s Sun do not relate to my parents Suns in that way you mentioned either.
my middle brother`s tropical Sun is conjunct my Dad`s Draco Sun though. and his tropical Moon is conjunct my Mom`s Draco Sun. his DRaco Sun opposes their Draco composite Sun.

Thanks lumina. Anything with grandparents? Branching out to other placements, there's a lot going on... For instance, my mother-in-law was definitely a late-degree Pisces moon (tropical). My daughter looks just like her, and her draconic moon is in late Pisces, opposing her draconic sun.

Ava well I head that the Dracos do relate to family/ genetic relations, and I am sure there is something there, in our family, too, but just not with the Sun in every case. For example the mother of my mother (whom I never met, because she died when my mother was 17, but she keeps on telling me how much I look like her, at least the upper two third of my face. lol), had Draco Sun on 26 Pisces on the exact degree of my Draco ASC (but well so had Edgar Cayce, and I do not think we are related. lol) but well other than that, nothing with my grandparents either.

I wonder why it's such a strong pattern in my life. (?)
Maybe it's partly because my natal chart is very draconic? I have so many tropical-to-draconic overlays. My children seem to have inherited this trait.
It's very common in my family to have, in the natal-to-draco chart one or more of the following:
a) luminary-Saturn conjunctions b) luminary-Mars conjunctions c) sun-moon conjunctions
So anyway, maybe where there are not outright conjunctions with parents' charts, there are echoes....I might be straining things, but for example, my husband has moon conjunct Jupiter natally, and my daughter's moon is conjunct draconic Jupiter (trine his moon).
It's weird, my mother's father had his tropical sun conjunct my grandmother's sun, tightly or exactly, depending on birth times, and his draconic sun was conjunct my mother's draconic sun tightly or exactly, same reason. He just lived with those two, my mother had no siblings. Well....apart from her older brother, who died immediately after birth. Well her missing brother shaped her whole life since my grandmother was insanely overprotective (my mother wasn't allowed to use a butter knife until age 14.) In turn, my uncle shaped MY life, since my mother rebelled against that and let her own children have a lot of freedom. I wish I knew his birthday. It sounds like he may have had spina bifida, which my nephew has (he's wheelchair-bound). So I wonder if his chart has anything in common with my nephew's...but there's no way of knowing.

This is a very ineteresting patter in your family, Ava I didn't look at Draconic charts in about a year, but your post inspired me to check my aspects We don't have N/Dr Sun conjunctions nor do we have any patterns. I've checked all our charts against each other. While there are some really nice aspects, they mostly don't repeat. My Natal Sun 22'45 My Son's Dr Moon 27'05 My Son's Natal Sun 5'36 My Dr Moon 7'03 Our Sun/Moon isn't exact, but seems significant. My Son's Natal Venus 15'42 My Son's Natal Mars 13'02 My Husband's Dr Venus 14'35 My Mom's DR Venus 13'49 My Husband's Natal Venus 11'50 My Husband's Mother's Dr Venus 9'10

Thanks midnight! Are those conjunctions above? So you and your son have sun conjunct draconic moon double whammy synastry? WOW It's weird but I've noticed a lot of "fitting in with the in-laws" in my family, too. Like my father's synastry with my mother's mother is eye-popping, though I never noticed them getting along especially well or talking much.

It's weird but I've noticed a lot of "fitting in with the in-laws" in my family, too. I am not surprised about that! Maybe it`s that we draw to us people who are "supposed" to be in our lives (in a committed way). Like some sort of "soul or life-path-genetics". For example my sister in law`s Fullmoon (26 Pisces - 24 Virgo) does not only fall onto my brother`s (her husband`s) tropical horizon, but is also conjunct my Draco ASC-DESC (of course it means that my brother and me have the tropical-Draco-overlay of our horizons). her ASC falls onto my Draco Venus and well her NN is conjunct my SN exactly - probably that is where it all starts. lol her Draco ASC is 17 Aqua conjunct my tropical Moon exactly (and falls onto my other brother`s tropical ASC - and he adores her. lol it also conjuncts my Dad`s Venus-Jupiter-conjunction, putting his Pluto on her Draco DESC; however my Dad is expressing his Pluto in a most constructive way) her Draco fullmoon from 17 Cap - 15 Cancer, is hitting my tropical Saturn on 16 Cancer her Draco Pluto actually falls exactly onto my mom`s tropical Pluto (while they basically like each other and rely on each other`s support and cooperate, there are some tensions there). her Draco Uranus is right on my tropical MC and Draco Karma (tropically her Uranus is widely conjunct my NN) her Draco Jupiter-MC falls onto my tropical Uranus exact (and also conjuncts my mom`s tropical Sun and opposes my Dad`s tropical Moon) her Draco Venus falls onto my tropical Sun-Mercury her Draco Mercury and tropical DNA are both on 25 Cap right on my DRaco MC on 24 Cap and conjunct Draco Pluto on 28 Cap there is no shared genetic heritage (hopefully ), but still this profound connection. There are some similiarities in the family structures of especially the grandparents-family structure, down to having both had to leave the old home in eastern Germany and start a new here, though at different times. My grandparents had to leave their home after the second world war, theirs had to make that change after the Berlin wall was being built (or during it actually).

I've noticed some oppositions as well, but didn't list them. Good idea to see the in-law connections. I'll check them out tonight too. M

I've noticed some oppositions as well, but didn't list them. Ah, I love that you have those connections with your son. And thanks for checking these things out. Speaking of oppositions, my tropical moon (18 Pisces) opposes both my daughter's and my middle son's draconic suns in Virgo (19° and 24° respectively). I think I didn't mention that above.

Yes...great way of putting it. It's all so far beyond me, how this happens. We've linked this article a lot: www.astrologycosmobiology.com.au/articles/tutorial/draconic-chart.htmlIt's one of my favorites, so why not one more time. Anyway, that is truly amazing how well your sister-in-law fits with your family. I'm tired or I'd comment more... Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure this is true: of the 5 of us 6 six siblings who married, 4 of us married Libra moons. My mother was either Virgo or Libra moon. I'm inclined to think Libra, based off of this. Plus, with a Libra moon, she has a draconic moon in Pisces, though the synchronization isn't exact (I forget when each moon changes signs that day...but you see what I mean, later moon, later sign.) Anyway my brother is an early Pisces moon so maybe it's conjunct her draco moon.

I still can't figure out why three of my children have Virgo draconic suns, though. There are no tropical Virgos anywhere in my family. Found my great-grandparents' tombstone again...I saw it years ago but didn't record birth or death dates. My great-grandfather was a Virgo, and his wife was either very late Leo or early Virgo (Aug 22). They had overlapping personal planets in Virgo. Anyway her draconic sun in Gemini was conjunct my grandmother's (her daughter's) tropical sun. My great-grandfather's Virgo stellium including Saturn moves to Sag in draco...his draco Saturn is conjunct mine. I've said elsewhere that Sag Saturn is all over my life (father, husband, both grandfathers are Sag Saturn) so I can't even believe this...yet another one. Please don't quote

Ava, I checked my family, i.e., my kids and grandkids. Only 1 conjunction emerges - my draconic sun is conjunct my grandson's draconic sun. Mine - 13.7 Aqua grandson - 10.38 Aqua

Me: Dr Sun in Cancer, tropical sun libra Son: Dr Sun in aquarius, tropical sun in cancer bf: Dr sun in libra, tropical in capricorn
No conjunctions. All our Tropical suns square each other though. Son and his father have trine dr suns and conjunct dr saturns.
dr Saturn and dr pluto seem to be more prominant in dr to tropical synastry for my family and with my parents.
Also my dr moon conjuncts my mothers tropical moon and my sisters tropical sun.

Thank you vg and @astrokeen! Ak, maybe it's too soon to tell, but have you noticed any similarities? vg, interesting that your bf and son have dr suns trine. It finally just clicked for me that my draconic sun forms a wide earth grand trine with my mother's and daughter's draco suns: 25 Taurus, my dr sun 22 Cap, mother's dr sun 19 Virgo, daughter's dr sun That's important to me because I've been a little bothered that my draco sun seems to have emerged out of nowhere, with no strong precedent in the family I was born into. But here it's like there is a place for it, and I like that my mother's sun is there on the midpoint between my and my daughter's draco suns, because she absolutely would have wanted to be included with us.
