@theunknown
I have stumbled across that website, too, but for me and people I know it doesn`t work. Actually in my case it doesn`t work at all! lol

I tried it using a 30 minute spread. It moved me back 3 minutes. I don't really know if it was due to me telling it I was a Scorpio rising in the first question... 3 minutes is the first instance of Scorpio on the ascendant for that date.
Personally, I have no doubt that my Asc is scorpio. I only did it to try out the app. But the descriptions for both Libra and Scorpio Asc could both apply to me to some degree. That's what I get for being on the cusp (lol). Actually, that's what my Venus trine asc does for me, but what does it know, right?
Maybe I'll go back and try it for noon +/- 12 and give it a real test!

It thinks I'm a Cancer ASC, born at 5 pm. Well I know I was born right after my parents went out for dinner, and I seriously doubt my parents decided to leave for dinner around 3:30 pm.

I generally don’t subscribe to the idea of rectification unless the birth time is truly unknown or questionable, but I know you’ve been looking at rectification for a while—and I could totally see you as a Cancer Asc! Your eyes, enjoyment in cooking...although you don’t have the body shape I usually associate with Cancer Rising folks...maybe a wide opposition from your Sun? That’s a really interesting thing for me to consider about you, Ava! Like I said, I usually just shrug off rectification stuff, but yeah I could see this one. 🤔🦀❤️ Although you do have the long, thick (pretty) hair. 🦁

Ava it might be one of those strange days your parents decided to act differently.... tho sun aspect asc might give a similar feeling as Leo rising? (Maybe? I don’t really know.) my sun square asc and I have a cowlick ... but then my Rising is a cow 🐮 body types wise, cancer risers come in different shapes. The moon waxes and wanes after all but all Leo risers have an unmistakably solidness to them, their hands have shorter bigger fingers too...like them lions. Also the abundant energy radiating from them. I do know a more lanky Leo-sun-asc with Pisces moon. And not all cancer risers cook or love cooking... I grew up with so many of them I should know. In fact lots of cancers in my family (cancer anything) do not cook, or appreciate the fact they got assigned the role (being women). Leo tho always like to create abundant in their environment. Cancer reflect, Leo radiate. Side note: I think the only rising that is a sure fire cook is Taurus... did you know Snoop Dog just dropped a cooking book?

Thank you Violets! ❤️ I had the same reaction, honestly..."Oooo Cancer ASC? That works!" But I'm absolutely sure I was born after dinner. My eyes...well maybe it's my draco moon in Cancer or maybe the Pisces moon? Emotional. Thank you for the hair compliment.🦁 Whenever people have told me I look like a celebrity (not because I do, of course, but that's everyone's common reference point), it's either a Leo sun or Leo ASC person with long, dark hair like mine. So...I dunno. I really need to send away for the official time, it's embarrassing I haven't done this yet.

@theunknown - LOL, Snoop Dog dropped a cookbook?! Wow
I was born in the Cancer duad of Cap and can think of two famous cooks with my birthday, Nigella Lawson and Ree Drummond. And basically every woman I know of who shares a birthday with me is into food preparation and has gone public "teaching" about it: Hilaria Baldwin, Gabby Reece, and someone else I'm forgetting.🤔
I thought Cancer ASCs were more prone to round faces while mine isn't. And I'm skinny with narrow shoulders but solid at the waist, I have wider hips so my center of gravity is strong, and I'm not as wispy as I might look....K, enough about me. LOL

Ava I was just kidding ... you know I never met you. I don’t know how you look but I feel the Leo vibes miles away. Something about you just seem really Leo... the sarcasm at time (which is different from Capricorn sarcasm or Scorpio’s). I just get the vibe that you’re really stylish...also when you and I think violets or bg who also have Leo asc get together on some thread, it kinda show... I wouldn’t doubt your parents’ habits. All cancerians love to eat tho. They are moody and not particularly active so your abs firmness might be the indicator after all.

@theunknown, I enjoyed reading how you've guessed peoples rising signs from their writings here. Cool! I'm tempted to start a thread on can you guess my Asc.

@astrokeen I actually know Ava is a cap sun and Pisces moon. My guess for your asc might just be your moon energy. You feel very accommodating, also understated and efficient. Something about you is very Virgo, finishing tasks and sustaining thing (ie this forum). I don’t think you’re a Capricorn Rising. I think lots of Virgo and libra energy because you’re very accommodating at the same time. Also potentially an Aquarius moon but not asc. Also you don’t crack many jokes on here so it’s not a libra luminary, or firey Rising, or gem. You’re not super watery either. I don’t get the feel that you do lots of gif image or dramatic illustrations, or long paragraphs about how you feel about an event. You’ll probably go “I’m stressed. I need some time off. I’ll see y’all later” not a whole paragraph about how upsetting certain event is and how you’ve chosen us to share your feelings . I’d go with Virgo, possibly cancer or libra if Virgo is your moon. But just howunderstated you are. I picture you wearing clean, efficient clothes but not lots of makeup, or bring dressy. Tho you can be on occasions but you are very functional on the daily

@theunknown , that is just great . Right on so many counts. It's always fun to see how one is perceived. I have an Aqua moon, just as you guessed. However, I have a Leo Asc which makes the understated impression hard to explain. The Asc is kinda mid Leo so the birth time would have to be way wrong. Perhaps the Leo influence is tempered by my Libra Mars, Mercury, Neptune and my years. Maybe it's also a cultural thing now that I've lived in the UK for ever so long. So, I do not indulge myself by writing paras on how life has gone AWOL. Lots of Libra as you guessed right. Even my Scorpio Sun is just emerging from the Libra/Scorpio cusp. The Sun is a couple of degrees from Neptune, which makes me something of a dreamer, I think. No planets in Virgo though. Not sure where my pernicketiness comes from. I'm very fussy with details - usually when I have a clear idea of what I want. Super right about me not being dressy everyday (functional rather than efficient) but I can be when the occasion demands it . Very mild make up that doesn't shows - unless it's a special do. Goodness, I sound like the perfect clerk!

@astrokeen ahhhh Scorpio sun I guess in 3rd or 4th house ... but near IC?
Leo risers get modified by the sun and maybe the sun at the lower point of chart makes you very private. Also Aquarius moon in 7th or near Dsc is more accommodating

Another note on rectification... I've seen angles and planets coming together in families quite a bit. Like my husband's ASC is conjunct his father's and brother's suns. I've said this before at The Other Place, sorry for being repetitive, but still find it fascinating how things come together: After an astrologer friend rectified my ASC to 6 Leo, I found my father's birth time, and his moon's @ 6 Leo. My husband's sun @ 7 Leo. I have a nephew with his sun @ 8 or 9 Leo, and another with his sun @ 8 or 9 Aquarius. And those degrees come up very strongly in my life, like I got married with my pr sun @ 9 Aqua, conjunct my husband's pr DSC @ 8 Aqua. My oldest son's ASC @ 9 Taurus squares all that. With an ASC in that 6-9 Leo range, my IC is in the 23-28 Libra range, conjunct my father's sun-Mars, my son's and niece's suns, my sister's and daughter's Mars, my own draconic Mars, my name asteroid in my chart. Most concentrated around 24 Libra. Now it's true that 2-4 Scorpio is another hot spot in my family, so my IC could be there: my mother, sister, and two sons have their nodes @ 2-4° fixed signs, my father and his mother have their draco suns conjunct in early Leo. But nobody in my family has their tropical sun or moon @ 2-4° fixed, not that I know of. It's not *strong* like the Leo and Libra ranges I mentioned above, with so many family luminaries there. Also with my ASC around 6-9 Leo, then I have Chiron on the MC. My daughter also has Chiron on the MC and I like to think that's "inherited" from me. I could have been born much later, I mean my sister's memory of me being born at a certain time could be off. I think the time that makes the most sense is 8 pm, with my ASC conjunct my mother's 24 Leo sun and my draconic Jupiter, and my IC @ 18 Scorpio conjunct my mean NN and my brother's and nephew's suns. My moon is still in the 8th house which I believe is rock solid, it must be there. But this just doesn't line up with my marriage timing at all. Nothing about 24 Aquarius resonates as a DSC, not in synastry, progression, or transit. Anyway......that's a view of my research and thought processes, in case anyone cares. Pls don't quote

Ava yeah ... well my mother’s moon is on my venus, her venus is on my ic/Chiron, my Jupiter is on her uranus ... I’m an Aquarius... But these things won’t change hourly for me.

@theunknown,
Well your mother's Venus on your IC, that would change. Is your birth time in doubt?

@theunknown, Well your mother's Venus on your IC, that would change. Is your birth time in doubt? Oh yes that’s true... my mother quotes 11:00-11:30. The way she talked about it sounded like right before 11:30... i did a thread on LL way back using lunar returns and events happened especially lunar vs solar and we reached the current time. I do feel like I’m a second décan Taurus Rising. I’m quite Virgo in my behavior and appearance. Im young but I had really major events happened, just not marriage and kids and the likes yet. I wish I can dig through my LL thread and find out lol

I’ve noticed it too, Ava. My Asc is at 14 Leo, my dad’s is at 12 Leo (we look A LOT alike, especially the thick, wavy hair lol). My husband’s Sun is at 10 Leo, his NN conjunct my Aqua Dsc, and his brother’s Asc is also around 12 Leo. My husband’s Asc is a degree from his mom’s. My oldest son’s Asc isn’t conjunct my mom’s Sun, but it’s in the same sign, and my youngest has the same Asc sign as my mom. I was there to memorize the times of my kids’ birth, so I know those are accurate... but it might be interesting to see if a slight rectification would move my mom’s Asc closer to my son’s...
