All conversation welcome. What have you observed about this placement? --- This morning my daughter said to me: "I'm Aries rising...I don't say what I think, I do what I think. You can tell what I'm thinking by what I actually do." I love that. Then she went on to recount a story of a class trip she took to a college campus. Her teacher was speaking casually to the class in a room where everyone was standing, but she was roaming from window to window, staring out. She said that she heard every word the teacher was saying, but what she was actually thinking was, "My gosh, look at this architecture! These buildings are so beautiful!!" Her chart ruler is Mars in Libra, and that shows. Pls don't quote

I don't know any - I mean, I'm sure I do but don't have enough birth times. Extrapolating from Aries MC, I'd say maybe the Asc brings that same "natural competence" to life? They don't have to try*, they're just good at things because they approach them without any hang-ups. The only time Aries Asc people would trip is if someone gets in their head or they become unsure of themselves for some reason. Just guessing...
* I guess it's more accurate to say they're not afraid of trying, diving head-first into things. And that's a sure-fire way to learn quickly.

Great insight 12YearsABlob! You help me see things for what they are. Ingrained Cap skepticism *still* makes me a slow learner. www.astrotheme.com/celebrities/m1/aries/1.htmLots of "gusto" here...Alexander the Great (how did they get his birth time though?), Peter the Great (so they like to be called great), Rihanna, Richard Burton, Che Guevara, Simon Bolivar...Tom "No I Won't Back Down" Petty, Vladimir Nabokov, Walt Whitman...straight shooters ...plus wealth, John D Rockefeller, Jeff Bezos. But my energy is flagging and that's not a thorough overview of the list and the people that pop out at me.

They all walk fast, stomping their feet while walking. Also can complain a lot, tend to rush ppl even with an otherwise patient chart.
I don’t mean to be negative but it’s a good Rising. A natural rising sign. Usually have good family life

No personal experience with it, but I know the "old" books say something to the effect of "Happy is the soul with Aries on the ascendant". I think it's because any planet by sign has the same energy as that planet by house (if the degree of the ascendant is early enough), so every planet can express it's sign freely.

To me the house system naturally starts at Aries. I believe we all pick our own birth time and to second geminiblues point, when we pick the rising time to be different from Aries, we are picking the role we play in our immediate environment and how to set the stage for the rest of our lives. Hence Scorpio rising are pessimistic, Interrogating and one can guess that they see the world as a harsh, violent place. Taurus Rising sees the need to be the stable, steady, slow one. Aries Rising can just be themselves because the sun is exalted in Aries, so it doesn’t have a need for an audience like Leo. Honestly Leo rising isn’t the best ... it tends to inducate one’s desire to hold it down, keep the show going, keep all the secrets at their assigned place (Scorpio in 4th isn’t great). For the most part, Aries risers I have met have supportive parents, natural relationships with siblings and partners (unless otherwise indicated obviously)

Honestly Leo rising isn’t the best ... Definitive statements like this crack me up. Well everything has its pros and cons, just a matter of how you look at it and live it.

I’m sorry I’m writing without editing ... Leo Rising is my favorite but the most “normal” is Aries. And the fact that your daughter has an Aries Rising means more likely a good thing. Taurus Rising isn’t the best either. I’m just coming from an “exalted self” perspective. That’s why I picked Leo. I don’t mean to pick on Leo risers. It’s a famous or common one for celebrity too

1:02 - 2:00 - They have a *lot* of energy, as one would expect.
- Finding a way to channel their Mars (chart ruler) is very important. She says that it "saved her life", in that she was able to channel all that energy into sports, ballet, performing etc.
- Not afraid to ask for what they want (and persist until they get it, Aries-style) - 2:34. She found an agent at the age of 14 - despite being rejected by her thrice.
