I've been thinking of this lately and finally today looked it up.
Turns out Mercury was just conjunct Cora in early Capricorn, so that's a nice coincidence. They are conjunct in my SR for this year.
Question: Could this asteroid represent the core, the heart?
I understand, I'm taking some poetic or linguistic license here. I understand it's an alternate name for Persephone. But still...
Words for heart:
Corazon, Spanish Coeur, French Cuore, Italian

Ava yes, it is a name for Persephone, I still think it would make sense. the latin word "cor" means "Heart". Granted it is not Cora, but well I still think it fits, also here in Germany there are some of those romance novels that are all collected under the name "Cora" (there are others with other female names like Tiffany, Julia etc.,) How cool that you have it in your Solar return, and to Mercury. Very fitting. LOL in my Solar return it is conjunct Sun! CORA 23°32 Sag Sun 25°56 Sag So whatever that means, I am going to tell you by the end of the year. Crazy, I also have Psyche conjunct Sun this year. And just realizing I have ALMA - 390, on 26 Cancer partile conjunct NN this year. Alma means "soul", also has the meaning "kind", "kindhearted", but really comes from the Ltin word, anima, and that means "soul, breath".My Draconic Alma is on 26°34 Cancer, conjunct tropical SR ALMA on 26°49 Cancer and SR NN on 27°12 Cancer Anyway, I disgress, so CORA. lol My Draco Cora is on 25 Gemini btw, opposing tropical Solar REturn Cora. n CORA is on 5 PIsces conjunct Pholus on 6 PIsces. my family name is on 2 Pisces I think. Interestingly enough my name comes up quite often at 6-9 Pisces, in natal charts or composites with some guys. WOW, P has CORA on 17 Taurus, just being gobsmacked as this is partile conjunct my name in my chart (and squaring my Moon, opposing my Lancelot, sextile Saturn, sextile Juno etc.) I`m always wondering why he doesn`t have a planet on 17 degree of a sign, as 16-17 degrees figure so heavily in my chart. Oh and of course our composite has IC on 16 Taurus. Eros on 15 Taurus. Alma on 20 Taurus. and so on. Funny enough our composite has Cora on 11 Aries conjunct my name in our chart on 12 Aries. Or was that 13 ARies, and Eris was on 12 ARies? Anyway somewhere there.

Thanks lumina, I thought it was so obvious I was hoping for some back-up from you, supplying Latin, that I didn't even have to ask. And voila, it's there, I was right! Thank you. Thanks for letting me know Psyche is there with Cora. Nice match, heart & soul, or something. My Cora @ 17 Cancer widely opposes my sun, 2°05 orb...but trines my moon. Well I've been thinking of my sister a lot lately too, because this past eclipse hits her mid-Cancer sun and Mercury (my Pisces ASC son just started singing our planets song, which begins with "sun, Mercury..." just as I was about to type that, LOL...weird). I do remember her as someone with a lot of heart, just based on my childhood and all the wholehearted warmth she exhibited then, it's a colorful picture in my mind. She seemed like someone in love with life and totally sincere about it. Wow I see she has Cora exactly conjunct Jupiter in Leo...on my ASC. Hmm, interesting.

So your Cora has been eclipsed. Well your Cora is conjunct my SAturn - I take your heart very serious. Interestingly when looking through some charts, mostly Cora seemed to be in a water sign or well Taurus. lol Maybe I am drawn to those people? Another thing I found was that, tentatively speaking, I seem to associate people with their Cora-signs, or at least the signbackground makes sense to me. Now you could say, how on earth could anyone associate Mr Sag with Taurus? But it fits, at least in terms of food-intake, for a lack of better description. lol And he`s also much calmer in rl than people expect him to. his best friend has Cora in Leo, okay not a water sign, but hey fixed sign at least. Never mind. his Cora is actually opposite my Moon by one degree, and last august the solar eclipse was exactly on his Cora. Funny enough he has a Leo-NN, too, and he mentioned he is having a Leo-ASC. So it fits. lol

Aw, thank you <3
So I seem like a Cancer? Well it's strange but I was thinking that too, when I saw my placement: "That fits." And I like yours in Pisces...like, where else would it be? You know?
Funny, I just said my Cancer sister has Leo Cora-Jupiter on my ASC (and my husband's sun)...
While my husband and I have composite Cora-Jupiter in Cancer on his ASC.
When my parents got married their progressed composite had Cora-NN on my mother's natal sun in Leo, in a grand trine with Sag Mars and Aries Uranus. Matches the story and its "you and me against the world" backdrop.

Interesting, I never thought of Cora= Core before!
Mine is conjunct my Chiron in Virgo in 4th house and opposes Saturn exactly. it also sextiles my ASC exactly too. I can't interpret that really. Will have to think on. Thanks though @ava !
Do you think it has a romantic undertone to it then in Synastry/Composite?
