I had my Jupiter return a couple days ago - took me a few mins to get the exact minute of the return.
Not asking for a reading (but other insights are also appreciated), so I have put it here. Have you noticed anything from previous jupiter returns? I dont think it is just about expansion or luck but also to do with partnerships as well, for me anyway.
Things I have noticed - Sun conjunct moon is on the composite jupiter and SN of me and my bf. The ASC is on my bf natal uranus and conjuncting his moon by about 3 deg. Now I think part of this new jupiter cycle an emphasis will be on mine and my bf relationship.
The other things I have noticed is that in the chart neptune/mars is in the 3rd house and jupiter is in the 12th - expansion in spiritual things putting into energy into learning? Vertex and NN are conjunct in the 8th...
My current one as of a few days ago, i will add the previous one later.

But would it be setting the tone for the next 12 years? So the day itself maybe uneventful...

vg I never even looked at my Jupiter-Return before, and Jupiter is my chartruler and disposes practically anything in my chart. However I did so now and wow, maybe not as wow as your Return, but still. Well of course Jupiter takes a long time to return,s o we are talking about a life chapter here, roundabout 12 years, so events might not be happening just at the return starts, but there will be a process, an unfolding development, at least I think so. my last Jupiter-return started in march 2010 (on my little brother`s birthday. lol). however, while P and me orignially met 2 years before that, I had decided that I had been silly and file that meeting away udner I do not know what anymore and it was clear to me we would never cross paths again (haha, yeah, so much for my astute analysis skills. ) 2 months after my Jupiter-Return- kicked in, I saw him again on stage and coincidentally later in a smaller club/tavern event in which he actually acted as if he recognized me, which is plainly impossible. I mean we jsut had been crossing paths a bit 2 years before and only talked once, albeit it was unusual, at least to me, and then I just never showed up anymore for the following 2 years, until my Jupiter return happened. lol (of course this came with a lot of coming and going on my part for the next years, with some very long pauses in between, it`s only recently we have been sort of meeting more often and there has been more consistency). we did sort of re-connect the year our composite Jupiter-Return happened, though funny enough his Jupiter Return happened just about 3 years ago, shortly after we met on a more or less informal gathering or meeting, which was another shift in the way we connect. So in my case, yes I`d say, esp. in terms of him and me, the Jupiter-Return showed, in a developmental way of course, taking some time to unfold. this is my Jupiter Return You have a New Moon on the ASC in your Jupiter-Return, so there is definitely something very new starting, and it is of course disposed by Jupiter as well, so yes, the next 12 years will be very interesting and possibly very different from the life you led the previous 12 years. I mean you have become a mother, you are in a relationship with the father, so of course everything will be new and different, and yes it makes sense that your bf will play a big role in the next 12 years for sure, and the overlays seem to emphasize this.

Ava yes makes sense. Well my stellium is in Pisces, not Aries. however I just realized that my Return Sun is conjunct natal Juno within one degree. lol I guess I need to hurry up to manifest this, only got 3-4 more years to go with this Return. For P it proved true though, he has Sun conjunct Juno in his Jupiter-return in Libra (and conjunct his wife`s natal Juno and my natal MC and his own natal Karma). and his Jupiter Return took place just a month or two before he got married, so it fits. here is an article on how to delineate the return jotracey.com.au/diy-jupiter-returns/

BTW the Jupiter return starting in february 2022 for me, will have an exact Venus-Mars-conjunction on 17 Capricorn. lol (and conj. Vesta on 19 Cap) in a grand trine with Uranus on 11 Taurus near the DESC on 15 Taurus and Moon on 14 Virgo. opposing Jupiter on 11 Pisces in 4th house. Yeah going to take that one. does not look that bad actually.

Ava yes makes sense. Well my stellium is in Pisces, not Aries. I saw that....I meant my last Jupiter return is similar to yours because it has a stellium. Also visually similar, with Leo ASC & a concentration in the 8th/9th houses... Thanks for the article. I appreciate its thoroughness. Though I do get exhausted and lazy, not really wanting to try and make sense of it. For me the takeaway is, sun-Jupiter opposing Saturn, squaring my sun. School of hard knocks. I do like the NN on your sun, lumina, since you've taught me SO MUCH about astrology (thank you!). NN in a grand trine with Mercury on my natal Chiron, and the ASC (widely conjunct my draconic Jupiter). I also like 6H Pallas on my DSC and widely conjunct my Mercury. What have I even been trying to learn except the patterning of things? I mean abstract and spiritual things...the natural and supernatural.

Edit: Just realized I forgot to ask, if Jupiter passes our Jupiter and then goes Rx, do we take the first pass as the return, or the last? Both? My Aries Jupiter sighhhhhhhs at the complexity.

Ava I love that Venus on the NN! The 12 years will definitely be about relationships, values (also valuing yourself) and of course romance. Jupiter in the 7th house confirms that, so it`s going to be 12 years when relationships will be very prominent. I am just being positive and optimistic and say the conjunction with Chiron is about healing and transformation and gaining depth and maturity in relationships or the way you relate to others. You could also become some sort of mentor to other people (and yes you could, you have a lot to share!) or you might meet people who help you to grow and become a mentor to you. Moon, the soul of any chart, is in Aquarius in 5th house. So children will feature a lot and again relationships, but more in the sense of romance and creativity and self-expression. this is in Aqua so there will definitely be a bit of a liberating feeling here, something unusual or out-of-the-box, you finding your own way, which speaks to ARies-Jupiter anyway. Very much emphasis on wanting to relate yes, but doing it your own way, relationships that are meant to strengthen your individuality, the feeling of being or becoming yourself. NO codependency, those days are in the past, if they ever had been there! Moon squares Uranus, so sometimes things could get a bit too crazy, maybe you will also open up to more freedom in 8th house stuff, being more open or something like that. Moon sextiles Jupiter so that is definitely helpful, a subtle supportive influence in emotional healing. Sun-Mercury-Neptune-stellium in Pisces, too. Very strong psychic talents will become just completely part of your everyday life. Almost like you can read minds better than hearing what is said out loud. lol A lot of creativity, too, maybe you will indulge more into creative expressiveness. The square to Mars is very interesting. Maybe sometimes a bit too much energy, or being torn between what is said and what is meant in a more subtle way. I also could imagine that other people (Mars rules the DESC after all) will sort of put some challenges in your way, but those will just challenge you to tap more into those intuitive skills you have (Sun-Mercury-Neptune). Did you also notice that people who play a role will overlay those return charts tightly? their natal or the composite with them? (I wa sjust totally gobsmacked realizing just HOW much P has been written into my ongoing Jupiter-Return chart and in particular our composite) and actually the comparision between both Return-charts is also very, well, it`s huge. lol

Ava also if you have three Jupiter-returns because of the retogradation, each of them is sort of valid, but the first two are "temporary", the last one is the one that will depict the coming 12 years. I have had that thing happening 2 years ago in terms of my Mars-Returns. In 2016 I`ve had 3 of them, interestingly everytime a new one hit, I would cross path with P, and it would be like: "Whoa, what did just happen?" lol

Yeah going to take that one. does not look that bad actually. So this is where the fun begins. Actually I think my ongoing Jupiter-Return has quite a bit "fun-elements", too. I mean Venus conjunct Uranus at the end of Pisces, with Venus trine Moon in Sag in 5th house and trine Mars on 00 Leo in 12th house. Mars on the Moon/Venus-mp. and in fact this Mars on 00 Leo indicating a new cycle/ beginning when it comes to Mars-things (men?), yes Mars is retrograde, someone coming back from the past? this Mars also conjuncts the DESC of my composite with P. DESC-ruler Uranus conjunct Venus, and in fact, falling exactly onto P`s natal ASC - was he written into this as someone I was bound to meet and concerned with? Also Vertex-Ceres falling onto our composite Sun and his Sun, Moon, MC. Yeah surprise, surprise. the Return ASC falls onto our composite Karma in composite 7th house, but also conjuncts my Draco Chiron exact. Return MC conjuncts my natal Chiron down to the minute or down to 2 minutes. So certainly a 12 year frame where I would be stripped bare of all defences in a most public way I guess. Chiron is in my 4th house natally and here it is being dragged wide into the open. It has its perks and its downsides. lol P`s Pluto is on 21 LIbra on my Return IC, and our composite NN-Amor-Cupido is on 20 LIbra exact on the Return IC and composite Mars on 23 LIbra, roughly conjunct. The chartruler Sun falling into 8th house, conjunct Jupiter; well Jupiter is conjunct Mercury and Sun, flanked by them, and in 8th house. The Return ASC falling into my natal 8th house. Clear as day that this was always meant to be 12 years of deep introspection and profound transformation (not forgetting starting about 2 years after the Return chart started, but the awareness was there before of course, I shed about 50 kilos and completely changed my social settings and behaviour. 180° almost. lol) That chartruler Sun is also conjunct my natal Juno - so it definitely has to do with commitment, loyalty, dedication, and also the public showing of it, even if in a more 8th house sense mixed with 3rd house (Juno in natal 3rd house). Oh and my brother whose birthday is the 6th march, so his Sun is EXACT on my Return`s Sun, and therefore conjunct my natal Juno in my 3rd natal house, got married. Well not every of the 12 years, but in 2017. Partile aspects here are: Moon in 5th sextile Saturn in 3rd: do I even have to say it out loud? lol Venus in 9th square Vertex in 5th Uranus in 9th square Ceres in 5th (this didn`t happen so far. ) Uranus in 9th quinkunx Vesta in 1st Neptune conjunct Chiron on the cusp of 8th house - definitely ongoing Neptune in 8th sextile Ceres in 5th Pluto in 5th trine Juno in 10th (Juno on my natal Part of Marriage and asteroid actor and Eros/Psyche-mp on 7 Taurus - interestingly my Solar Return that will start next week will have a partile Juno-Pluto-trine with Tr Pluto on the NN of this Jupiter-return) Chiron in 8th square Vertex-Ceres in 5th overlays to my natal chart Moon conjunct n Mars with 2 degrees Ceres-Vertex conjunct n Sun-Mercury (1-3 degrees) Pluto conjunct n Venus exact (BTW for all nice things, the Return chart has a Saturn-Pluto-square, which showed I think, though it also showed its face in shedding all that weight, as Saturn-Pluto is about "cutting away", too, just focusing on the essential. lol It is literally the "bare bones" aspect, not that I look like that, but I guess it made it possible) NN conjunct Sun/Moon-mp Neptune-Chiron conjunct n BML Mercury-Jupiter conjunct n Ceres Sun conjunct n Juno Uranus square n Sun with 2 minutes Mars square n Uranus Juno conjunct n Part of Marriage, asteroid actor and Eros/Psyche-mp. lol It is just too funny to not mention it. (Maybe I should go and find me an actor with some important placement or progression on 6-7 Taurus. Well I also have the nameasteroid "Mark" or "Marc" on 8 Taurus. ROFL that is too funny though! oh and "Antonio" on 4°38 Taurus, now progressed to about 9 Taurus in my chart, these things are just hysterically funny. lol Maybe I should have gotten married to "Mark-Anton", the midpoint would be on 6 Taurus exact. lol) BTW Draco P is on 3°41 Taurus. a bit far away, but there seems to be something about those Taurus-name-asteroids. lol

The other things I have noticed is that in the chart neptune/mars is in the 3rd house and jupiter is in the 12th - expansion in spiritual things putting into energy into learning? Vertex and NN are conjunct in the 8th... I'd also be interested in the overlay from that chart to your natal - that might show what energy is being activated.

Okay okay....sun-Mercury-Neptune at the tail end of Pisces, is this "learning in the afterlife"? lol...you all know I'm constantly wondering when I'll die. But no, I think I *am* still alive then, because there is a mission here...gotta learn when to speak and when to bite my tongue. Sun square Gem Mars as most elevated planet. To me, that picture screams "on the verge of something new".. Those near-critical degrees clustered so closely at the end of the last sign of the zodiac... Gotta be preparing for a new beginning in some way.

Like the Universe giving you a treasure chest but swallowing the key. It was almost funny, as the voice in the back of your head goes, "Come on, you didn't really think it'd turn out alright, did you?". Ugh that just kills me. My anthem for that feeling... Poor guy has Venus square nodes: www.astrotheme.com/astrology/MorrisseyAnyway, thanks for checking my upcoming JR chart. I guess it WILL be like my "last hoorah" before I'm almost a senior citizen with the one after that. Jesus, where did the time go?! But that's what I get for counting ahead by twelves. For some reason I didn't remember, know, or notice that you use the whole sign house system. Really not sure what the difference is, and what I ought to be taking into account when reading one type of chart versus the other. The fact that many types of charts exists is like a boogeyman to my whole sense of astro-order, the part of me that makes a near religion out of it, but oh well. Your JR Saturn as most elevated and critical; well I don't know the real difference between MC and most elevated, but it seems natural to assume they're similar, close in proximity and sometimes overlapping. Since the MC is associated with Saturn, wouldn't a most elevated Saturn also be sorta domicile-ish? (Hope I'm not annoying you lumina, as I shoot from the hip here.) I just think it's a good king reigning over things. Especially since it's not making any tight, hard aspects to anything. It's benevolently sextile to the NN-Juno. Kinda like, all is well here, as long as there's discipline and effort. There's a bit of trouble with that thanks to Pisces ASC-Neptune squaring Saturn, I mean your lucky star might be feeling someplace totally out there and NOT grounded like Saturn. So it's the old "how do you resolve this damn square" quandary. Just gotta learn and grow (thanks again Jupiter). Moon semisextile Mars gives you some mojo and kick to keep going, keep clarifying emotions. I just wonder if there's a name for that configuration of sun semisquare Venus, with sun and Venus each quincunx another planet, and those planets (Uranus and Pluto) squaring each other. Like an hourglass that's larger on the bottom. Maybe the Uranus/Pluto tension (square) eases into milder (quincunx) and milder (semisquare) tension, finding resolution in the personal dilemma of holding to self-love (sun-Venus aspect). Just tossing around some thoughts.

Thanks very much for that reading lumina . I really appreciate your emphasis on the positive. Well I am usually pretty determined to stay positive. Psychic...yeah I wonder if I'll ever get there. Romance...I think I have to re-invent what that even means. My pr Venus will be in Aqua by then so it will be my workhorse. lol Be back in a little bit to delve into your JR. Also vg, thanks for the thread. I started replying to you, saved the draft, and now I see I never posted it. It was just short, so I'll see if any more ideas pop up. I feel bad "playing astrologer" sometimes when it's all just practice and study.

vg What an extraordinary Jupiter return chart! The exact new moon on the ASC. So there's a new start, obvious to all (maybe this represents new baby, motherhood, amongst other things). Amazing how how that ties in with your relationship's composite Jupiter-SN. In my experience with Jupiter-SN composite, things get clearer in retrospect - together you live through something, tend to go back and look for the lessons in it, maybe for a long time afterwards. The time together just "swells" to take on more meaning, the more you look back at it. "The other things I have noticed is that in the chart neptune/mars is in the 3rd house and jupiter is in the 12th - expansion in spiritual things putting into energy into learning? Vertex and NN are conjunct in the 8th..." I really like your interpretation. I feel like Mars/Neptune can be super creative, also attractive, as there's some inherent magic in it. I think usually with this combination, especially in Pisces, aggressive tendencies are gentled, though there can be struggles with getting all the facts you feel that you need in order to address an issue. 12H Jupiter might afford you a more panoramic perspective so that even if you feel uneasy or that you can't hit the nail right on the head, you are learning to use other communication "muscles" and use those through life's tough spots. JR Mercury in the 12th widely conjunct Jupiter (chart ruler) seems to promise a bit of luck there. 8H Vertex/NN exact in Cancer, disposited by the moon. So fateful looking. I wonder if special things will be coming up when transits hit that Vertex/node axis. Overall this strikes me as positive and faith-sustaining, as the Vertex/node is in a grand trine with Mercury and Chiron. Anything that hits your antivertex converts that to a kite, something with "lift." I don't really associate Capricorn (Avx) with serendipity but the Avx is in the 2nd house and that just looks like stability when you need it, maybe from your partner ~ maybe you find there are times when things get hard, require an intensive healing process, and you find that within your relationship? Hope so anyway....I mean, best wishes with this whole time period.

I am actually basing all my interpreations on Placidus, and it is the only housesystem that works in terms of rulerships (for me), however the whole sign house-system does make some sense, not in terms of a housesystem like Placidus, but in relation to the rising sign. However, I am so very not a 5th house Aries. the housecusps in the Placidian system have proved to me to be VERY sensitive degrees when it comes to transits or progressions conjuncting them exactly. Yes I totally feel it when Tr Uranus is touching my 5th house cusp, well for now it has receded into 4th again. my 5th-11th axis in Placidus is just so reactive. and lit up like a christmas tree. However, whole system does have some interesting perks in relation to the rising sign as I said. I can see myself ending up with Placidus as the central housesystem for me, but the whole sign houses like an underlying "net", sort of different layers. Though probably we could use then a whole sign system, related to the MC, as well. As far as elevated planets go, we need to still have the MC, no matter in which house it falls, only planets close to the actual midheavean are really elevated or "at the highest point, culminating, at the Zenith".
