I'm trying to learn crystals but it's overwhelming. This weekend my family went to a gem show and I got three beaded bracelets: garnet, aquamarine, Chinese fire agate. I love them so much. I didn't know anything about crystal beads: the quality, how they're made, what the healing potential really is?Does anyone already have knowledge? My garnet bracelet appears to be made of these: www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/h203660gsThat looks like a reputable supplier. I want all these bracelets. Sun square Jupiter excessiveness. I want my arms to look like Fully Raw Kristina's: At least once. I'll share what my bracelets are supposed to do.

* Excellent for communication issues * Clears up confusion and stimulates orderliness, very peaceful and calming * Good for people who have difficulty letting go of the past * Helps to heal laryngitis and sore throats
Chinese Fire Agate -
* Increases energy and vitality * Helps one to feel good about life

I use crystals and stones literally every day, every time I lay down to rest or meditate. I love garnet. I thought it was a Saturn/Capricorn stone? Regardless, I love placing it above my root chakra when I lay down to go to sleep. Very grounding indeed. If I'm feeling stressed I may carry a small raw garnet around in my pocket. I'm not sure about beads, or the quality of the stone after it's gone through the process of being tumbled and polished...? Im partial to raw stones, just for the sake of maintaining their full energy potential, but I love stone jewelry, too. I recently purchased a bulk bag of raw stones from Asia of various types from Amazon, and I love them! I used to wear bracelets and bangles like that up to my arms before I had children, lol. Too much for handling little ones, though! ❤

Oooh, just looking at LeeLoo's post quickly, I LOVE malachite and chrysacola (sp?). I gave my last stone of that combination to my son, as it was the one that he picked (so healing ❤), but I would like to get some more. (Gosh, don't get me started on this topic, I'll never be able to stop talking! )

Seriously, you'll have to close the thread. Next to my bed on the lamp stand here, I have red jasper, lapis lazuli, blue agate, more lapis lazuli, dalmation jasper, howlite, black tourmaline, and magnetized hematite. I believe the white stone is white king quartz. although I'm not sure what the white one with dark lines through it is... I've been carrying around raw green jasper. These are the ones I've been using lately on a fairly regular basis. There's a necklace there too, but it's just one that I like, no crystals. I <3 my stones... I absolutely will blabber on about this, I can't help it. Your bracelets look lovely, Ava. I would definitely wear them, they're gorgeous!

Ahhh Wow, such a pretty collection, Violets ! No, not closing the thread. I need to learn! Why do you choose the raw green jasper to carry, if you don't mind me asking? There's a garnet mine nearby, & my husband is suddenly very interested in going there. I wonder what it's like? I wonder if the garnet energy would be palpable to sensitive people, all around the area? Hmm! LeeLoo , such a helpful chart! Thank you!

I think I'm partial to raw stones, too.
Garnet for root chakra, does that have anything to do with the matching red colors?
I have more to say on garnet later...yes, it's the birthstone for January.

Thank you... There are many more, but I think they often need a break, to be outside for long periods, or left alone for a while after a lot of use. Ooohhh, I would think that energy would be palpable! During our brief stay in Montana, I really wanted to visit some mines, but we were only there for the winter, so I wasn't able to. How cool that would be to visit!! 😃😮 The green jasper has just "called" to me? I have yet to look up what its properties are, but since I received the bag of stones I ordered, many of the stones that called to me (I'm going to stop using quotations, because that's really exactly what happens) have been different types of jasper (although I wasn't aware of what I was choosing until after I looked them up!). They all have different attributes, so I'll look at what green jasper has to offer. It feels to me very powerful, as though it would absorb negative energy or remove it. Let's see if I'm right!

I'm not sure that it's the color, although that fits...I think it's just a very grounding stone, from what I recall. Calming and centering, grounding...

I'm not surprised at all, Violets . "Wear or carry as a rubbing stone to ward off negative energy, bring reassurance, and to help restore inner calm."Green jasper beads look like....

Thanks, Ava . Ooooh, it's very pretty when polished! Mine looks like this, but it's still such an amazingly potent stone (that's not my hand, just an internet picture). Edit--Jeez, that picture is huge, sorry... It feels even more potent to me than my large chunk of black tourmaline, which I can still really FEEL. Well you're making me want to buy beaded bracelets! But I did try that a few times, and they always ended up breaking on me, so that all I was left with were the beads (which is okay, but...). I wish it wasn't so insanely expensive to buy tools for drilling and polishing stones. And complicated, like learning a completely new trade that involves a drill. I guess I'll stick with making candles.

Ah and you're making me want to buy large chunks of stones. I felt so at home at the gem show that I kept telling my family, "I'd love to do this for a living." Make jewelry, collect and trade stones. I made candles once and but the fragrance didn't come out right. Do you use essential oils for them?

Sun I LOVE that crystal, too! Beautiful!! Ditto to everything Violets said. I've been wearing my beaded bracelets one at a time, because they are too big for my arm, and slide down and clank together too much. Maybe someday I will re-string them with a clasp so they stay put and don't chatter so much. The chattering makes me nervous as my mind gets tricked into thinking they are actually falling apart. It sounds too much like beads spilling, to me. I'm weird. Wearing them one at a time has the advantage of teaching me what each bracelet actually does. Aquamarine made me feel too light and ungrounded when I tried wearing it alone. Could be my imagination or just too much Pisces-type energy when there was already a stellium in Pisces. Fire agate does seem to help open me up, make me more smiley and social. Maybe it helps that I wear it with orange and red shirts...and I have to be in an "up" mood already, to put red on. Garnet is my heaviest bracelet. I'm not sure if it's working or I'm forcing a placebo effect on it? LOL But I *think* it is helping to steady me, allay fears, strengthen my core so I can hear myself better. "You are my ROCK," I'm thinking, when I wear it. I've read in The Secret Language of Destiny that people on my nodal axis should wear garnet because of the way it centers the energies. That book is available online, see below, but it's abridged. I'd have to get the book out from the library to copy the part I'm referring to. www.thesecretlanguage.com/check/day/
