EDIT--No, not my face.
Yeah, it's common in the states. But yes, I do (sometimes, lol).

I might start, not sure why I should or shouldn't, but I'm curious about whatever difference it could make.
Though I am a little weirded out by faces that are TOO smooth. Peach fuzz, I guess I kinda like it..........

I do shave off my peach fuzz, I use little Japanese face shaving razors that are pretty much similar to these.

Be careful, ladies! My step-daughter used a razor on her chin, and she now has the equivalent of a small beard. She's tried laser removal, but the hair is too coarse, so she has to literally shave her chin regularly.
Sorry, not trying to be an alarmist, but seriously! I use tweezers or beeswax.

I suppose it depends on what type of hair you have, though? If your hair is naturally fine it might not be such a big deal.
Oh--and when I do use beeswax, I've noticed that it does do a lot of good for my skin. It seems to take off that very top layer of dead skin, for what that's worth.

^ LOL VioletsThanks for letting us know. Well in my dreams, my diet will evolve into something potent enough to cure me of any unwanted facial hair. So I feel like I have to keep growing it, to know if it's growing or not. Then plucking of course. I used to wax my face and legs with a sugar wax but it made my face break out, and if I waxed my legs my family wanted to stare at the spectacle of me doing this. Curious/horrified little kids. I only did that 20 times maybe? But it made my leg hair sparse, some sections don't really grow. So I should take that up again. It's just painful and messy.

Omg I can't imagine waxing my legs, although I've done my arms (wth?). My arms aren't even particularly hairy. 🙄

Violets and athena what kind of hair do you have naturally? And athena does your hair grow back darker or anything? I have fair hair on my face, you can't see it really unless make up is on and thats whats bothering me haha. Plus the exfoliation part intrigues me as Im still a bit spotty. Theres no point using all these face washes if its not penetrating enough, but face shaving apparently allows it to be absorbed better. But then they say its no different from any other exfoliator product and now I am confused hehe. Also, Violets what is beeswax(as in the kind of product- is it literally beeswax or a cream or something?) and what does it do?

My hair is very thick, dark, and wavy/curly. Generally, my hair texture is pretty fine, but shaving does seem to make it grow out thicker.
Oh, the brand is Gigi. You should be able to order it online, I started using it when a friend began working for Aveda years ago, before they were bought out by Estée Lauder.

^ It's really cool that people can do that at home. FruityLlama, I have read about this trend, and people believe it can help exfoliate, etc. (Is Gillette just trying to score more customers?). Is your goal exfoliation or hair removal or both? Some friends of mine have tried masks with gram flour that can be scraped off to give the same effect. Me, personally, I haven't tried this. Maybe I need to take a closer look at my face, ugh!

FruityLlama, I guess I didn't really answer your question about the product, sorry. It's a wax that you can either heat in the microwave, in a separate pot on the stove (like a double boiler), or buy an individual heating platform (whatever they're called) for it. You can buy cloth strips to dip in the wax (very messy), or you can use these wooden "tools" that are similar to wide popsicle sticks to apply it. I use the latter method. You apply the wax at a consistency that's not too hard, but not too hot/liquid, and allow it to dry. Leave a little bit at the edges to create a sort of handle to pull it off from. Then when you remove it, remove it against the direction of hair growth so that it removes it thoroughly. I'm not explaining it well, but it's actually very easy.

Violets Thanks so much for that! You explained it really well don't worry. I tried waxing my legs a while back- its not that painful, I just found shaving cream to be easier in terms of killing two birds coz I can wash it off in the shower. Anyway, so you can use this on your face then? damn I am worried about growing a mini beard haha 12YearsABlob (finally remembered how to tag you, apologies for all the ineffective ones!!) I am hoping to do both as my face is just an utter mess and makeup is useless if you don't have good skin to be honest Oh I am sure your face is lovely. I admit I do kind of crazy analyse my face though, but I did only notice the hair and stuff when I was trying some makeup product on at a store under those glaring lights. Hideous I was

FruityLlama yes, you can definitely use it on your face! I've used it on my arms a few times and it wasn't painful, but I'm like you with my legs--it's less of a hassle for me to shave in the shower.
