THE HYPOTHETICAL PLANETS

ADMETOS - 
Blockages, delays, frustrations, patience, hindrances, standstill. Depth, profundity, ‘that which is fundamental’, endurance, focus, specialization. The beginning and the end (the wheel of life), real estate, the few, death.

According to Margaret Lang-Wescott, Admetos-Mercury connections (as example) could indicate either limited thinking, or deep thinking.

APOLLON - 
Multiplicity, expansiveness, ‘many irons in the fire’ (sometimes too many), science, peace, great success, commerce, distant career opportunities and contacts with foreigners. The ‘big picture’, instead of details.

CUPIDO
Small groups, marriage, families. Home, property, art/artists, society, cliques/clans, beauty, crafts people.

HADES
Poverty, ugliness, suffering, garbage/filth, dirt, sickness, shame, bacteria, secrets, decomposition/deterioriation, antiquity, loneliness, debasement, vulgarity, and crime. ‘Past lives’, the ancient past, secrets; sometimes related to the teachings of ancient wisdom or older sciences. A few positive meanings for this planet include healing of disease and is frequently found in the charts of health professionals. Service, in the highest or lowest sense.

I’ve most recently seen a very strong Hades placement in the transiting birth chart of Venezuela, where by transit it was strongly placed in aspect at the time of the food crisis.

KRONOS
Mountains, airships, leaders, executives, the government and government officials, nobility, mastery, fathers, independence. An authority or expert, and also the questioning of authorities or expertise. Anything superior or above average. VIP’s.

The hypothetical Kronos is in Hillary Clinton’s 7th House of marriage and partners, conjunct to her North Node. At prima faccie, this talks about her marriage to Bill Clinton, and potentially, her own Presidency.

POSEIDON
The mind, spirit, ideas, enlightenment, inspiration, spirituality and “vision.” The life force.

According to Martha Lang-Westcott, Mercury-Poseidon connections may indicate spiritual perception; Venus-Poseidon connections may indicate pure love or religious faith.

VULCANUS
Great strength, power, mighty forces, fate, destiny, control issues. ‘Explosive’ circumstances, energy or force; urges one cannot control; coercion by charisma. Can also indicate one’s reservoir of energy and the depletion of that energy.

Marilyn Monroe has her Sun conjunct Vulcanus – a rather explosive force, no?

ZEUS
Strong forces and power: weapons, anger, will power, machines, fuel, fire, targets, the military, conception, creativity, drive, obsessions, purposeful actions. Zeus represents control and restraint, but when badly afflicted can also indicate loss of control. Excitement, incitement.

God I just watched that video and its amazing! Imagine figuring all that out like that, I wish I was that kind of astrologer haha! 

So I guess if theyre hypothetical planets we can use orbs to about 5-6 degrees? maybe?

Cupido: 27 Scorpio R (opp. Mercury, sextile Neptune, conjunct Pluto, very widely trines ASC)
Hades: 13 Gemini (opp. Jupiter)
Admetos: 16 Taurus (widely sextile ASC, square Mars)
Apollon: 17 Libra R (sq. ASC, sextile Mars)
Kronos: 24 Gemini (square Saturn)
Poseidon: 1 Scorpio R (opp. Moon, widely opp. Sun)
Zeus: 0 Libra R (widely opp. Venus, trine Neptune, Uranus (exact) and sextile pluto)
Vulcanos: 17 Cancer (conjunct ASC, Q.Moon, trine Saturn and MC)


Cupido/Pluto form a grand trine with my ASC and Saturn/MC. There's also a kite formation with Admetos at the top that sextiles Vulcanos, Saturn, and then makes that grand trine I mentioned above! No idea what it means but its fun to play around with new stuff- thanks Ava !

Jupiter is a co ruler of my MC and opposing Hades, I can see how that could be interpreted for sure. My zeus aspects make me look crazy 

I wonder if the aspects we use are the same because I remember Glaucus from LL saying that only the hard aspects, including minor ones were used or something like that. But if its all based on symmetry.....why would sesquisquares and stuff be used?

I'm just beginning to learn this, and who knows how far I'll get. (It's difficult for me to commit to a path of study in astrology; as soon as the concept bores me or fails to impress me, I'm likely to drop it.)

She's only mentioning oppositions and midpoint conjunctions there, all parallel and perpendicular lines.

Not charmed by the fact that we are making up planets, when we can hardly begin to understand the meaning of the present ones.

Esp. the Hypothetical planets do make me sometimes question astrology as a whole. Maybe we are all making it up and can find whatever we want to find even if nothing is there. They do seem to "work" at times. But what is it that exactly works? the astrology (hypothetical in this case) or our powers of imaginations and the human tendency to want to see patterns in seemingly chaotic circumstances?

just for the record, the hypothetical planets "move" very slowly (well, they don´t move at all, as they are hypothetical, and so is their movement), so I wouldn`t use big orbs with them. Though you could say they are like fixed stars and the personal planets move closer though. So if Moon is aspecting a hypo planet, it might justify a bigger orb than Pluto for example. But on their own they are generational.

maybe someone could go so far to see them as "sensitive points", and even that is going really far, but they are certainly no planets.

I think the discovery of astrology way back when was absolutely motivated by the human need to see patterns. I think astrology can be milked to death and it really depends on how you use it. Some people are talented at using different systems- I think of it as a tool, or instrument and of which there are many that can help us in achieving the same goal- which I assume is to understand ourselves and the human psyche better. And improve.

But it is not immune to having faults and criticism. Its good that we do criticise it, like with anything that is worth discussing and I think you make a great point lumina.

For me personally, I just like playing around with stuff as astrology really can be nebulous for me to see anything with certainty (well, bar one or two things). A bit like language in a way, its all quixotic, but incredibly interesting and I have to admit, the different systems are all very eloquent ^_^

I just keep seeing these "planets" mentioned in astrology articles and conversations, and I'm getting tired of not knowing what they're about. For years I barely glanced at them, for the reasons lumina gave. Now I just feel that I have enough brain space open to finally learn the basic meanings and try and nail down my own placements. It's one less thing on my astro "to do" list.

When I watched the video in the OP, at first I thought, the draconic placements for the outer planets may have been responsible for the effect. That's something I already trust. Or maybe it was solstice points, or something else non-material.

However, I'm sure these astrologers are far more meticulous and advanced than I can even comprehend, and chances are, they already ruled out those things. I like to think so, anyway.

Well I am just getting started with learning about this so who knows how my opinions will take shape.

So the first two are Hades and Cupido, those are the only ones Witte used.

Hades is opposing draconic Mars in this chart, but that's just a short term transit, and Cupido has no strong aspects from the draconic transits. 

End of the war:



Again, not seeing any major aspects between draco outer planets and Hades and Cupido.

Interesting that the transiting sun here @ 18 Scorpio sits on the draconic Saturn-Pluto midpoint @ 17 Scorpio. But these aren't squaring 12 Leo Cupido. 

In the middle of the war, November 2016, draconic Saturn-Pluto midpoint was @ 24 Virgo, opposing Hades @ 23 Pisces and yet-to-be-discovered Chiron @ 22 Pisces. 

In November 2017, Hades is still tightly conjunct Chiron (is Hades really Chiron??), Cupido is on the Saturn-Neptune midpoint.  

NN was @ 2 Cap, so the draconic chart is simply square to the tropical then. So tropical Saturn-Cupido-Neptune squaring the same stellium in draconic, in Scorpio.

The Hamburg School/Uranian Astrologers focus mainly on the 22'30 series (16th harmonic) aspects, and that goes especially for midpoint structures.

I don't use hypothetical transneptunian planets. There are already transneptunian objects other than Pluto found, why bother with those that are hypothetical?

When Alfred Witte came up with the idea, Pluto didn't exist at the time.

I studied Uranian Astrology, and I even got a book and program for it.  That was back in 2004. 
The only thing that I agree with now is the midpoint-midpoint conjunction,opposition that Magi Society refers as Magi Quads and David Cochrane refers to as Isosceles Trapezoids (IsoTrap).
My Sun/Mercury midpoint is conjunct Jupiter/Uranus midpoint with only 3 minutes of arc, and that would be a strong combination of the energies/themes of Sun,Mercury,Jupiter,Uranus. 
These planetary combinations are also involved in Golden Mean midpoint structures and Silver Isotrap which I went over in Golden Mean and Jupiter/Uranus threads.
